The Tigers of Whitthorne Middle School are one win away from matching their undefeated season of 2005 after a thrashing of E.A. Cox 47-22, capturing their 13 straight victory. RB TraDarious Goff led the way once again for the Tigers rushing for 108 yards and 1 touchdown of 38 yds. But there was alot of offense to go around as QB Tre Counts went 2 for 2 and 2 touchdowns....one each by tight end David Horne and split end Devanta Hamlett for 25 yards. RB Leland Brooks rambled for 2 scores of 25 & 28 Yards. It was a limited roll for the starters in this game as alot of young players saw action. The Tigers produced 353 yards of total offense allowing only 76 to the Cougars. Reandre Stewart had a 70 yard kickoff return in the 1st half and teammate Derek Martin added a 65 punt return late in the 4th for Cox. Whitthorne will close out the 2006 season next Tuesday October 3rd at Brentwood Middle. The kickoff is set for 6:00. TSN's LIVE broadcast will begin at 5:40. TSN Website!
