Region 6-5A playpffs

With only 4 weeks remaining, the 6-5A playoff picture is getting interesting. With many teams facing tough schedules ahead, these next few weeks should determine who's for real.

 

Independence: At 6-0, many consider the Eagles to be the biggest suprise of the season. However, with Ravenwood, Brentwood, and Dickson still on the schedule, Indy will need to stay tough to stay undefeated

 

Franklin: With most of the tough teams out of the way, Franklin should cruise into the postseason

 

Dickson Co.: In my opinion, one of the best running attacks I've seen in years. The Cougars will have to step up on defense against a couple of good teams

 

Brentwood: With a younger team than in recent years, Brentwood will have a tough time against the more experienced teams in the region. Still, when was the last time anyone counted out the Bruins?

 

Ravenwood: This years schedule has been both a learning experience and an Achilles heel for the defending champs. With some tough teams still to play, Ravenwood will need to fight to the end.

 

 

My prediction, in order of finish

 

1. Franklin

2. Dickson County

3. Independence

4. Brentwood

Independence-Dickson winner wins the region.

 

Franklin and Brentwood will be the other two teams to get in. Ravenwood will mount a charge but that loss to Brentwood might just have been the dagger.
