Paul Bryant.

 

As a Vanderbilt assistant in the 40's.

 

And in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's when he would drop by to thump UT and VU.

 

In fact, he was the best in any state he ever entered.

 

RIP Bear. There won't be any more like you.

 

Wrong. If you are going to go to the college level then the best ever to set foot in this state is none other than General Robert Neyland. His winning percentage was better than Bear's ever thought of being plus Bear Bryant was 0-5-2 against Neyland !!! In fact, when Neyland retired in the early 50's it was Bear who said "Thank God the 'ole man is retiring". I guess he said this because he was tired of getting his butt whipped by the General !!!

You forgot the REAL No. 1 General Robert Neyland !!! He destroyed Bear Bryant. Bear was 0-5-2 against the General !!!

 

 

I understand the chain of command Admiral. I won't give you any lip.

 

You might like this if you havent seen it already. 2 great men and coaches.
