  1. Other than gaining an additional parent or two, I'm not aware of any punishment administered.
  2. And since it is "Recruiting Season" (your words), why don't you give us a rundown on how recruiting is going in 7AAA for next season. 8AAA too. Both districts are loaded with teams that are notorious for it. Share your expertise with the commoners.
  3. An apology is in order. To the officials (who may only be guilty of incompetence). To Blackman (for diminishing their win). And to your own team (for providing the lame excuse of racism as the reason for losing). Where were all these racist officials during 24 wins? Discriminating against other teams? If Samuel Johnson were alive today, he might say racism has replaced patriotism as the last refuge of a scoundrel. Do the right thing Jazzy. Apologize.
  4. Not to disrespect district and region tournaments, where " anything can happen". But fast forward to sectional tourney, where Riverdale and Blackman play Walker Valley and Cleveland. Both home teams win and get to state. 2 of the final 8. I'm guessing Riverdale and Cleveland advance. Correct me later. I know you will.
  5. Send an uncoordinated, deaf, dumb, and blind pygmy to his "exposure" camp and see if they don't make "the list." Unless the check bounces.
  6. Caya Williams, Jasmine Newsome, Taylor Hall.
  7. Just checked with Ensworth and Riverdale fans to verify what the Oakland fans have said all week. It is true. Oakland is unbeatable.
  8. Who is to blame for this nonsense? Executive Director Jimmy Carter or Executive Director Barack Childress? Or was it Moe Greed? They sure have ruined our football country looks like. Time to take it back.
  9. I must have missed the reading section in the same english class that you apparently slept through then... Did you even read how your started your last post? "So you are say your"??? What does that even mean? Furthermore, where do you get off calling your mom a "woman"? And as to your "best team in sumner county''.... I do have a problem reading, so I didn't quite understand the scoreboard at the end of the Gallatin game..... Maybe you should explain it to me, since you are of a vastly higher intelligence having been educated in Wilson County.... I went to schole in Summer Couty for 7 years and then I went to Willson for 8 more. I wood say both schole sistems are bout the same. I am lots smarter than I used to be
  10. But all teams receive a grape snow cone and a trophy. Meanwhile the state office rakes in some serious cash. Plus, Obama and Pelosi have approved this plan.
  11. 1965 team (1966 srs.) was 9-0 before losing their last regular season game, followed by a bowl loss. So, they finished 9-2. Big brawl after last regular season game resulted in MJ being placed on probation by TSSAA. However, with no postseason playoffs in effect in 1965, TSSAA decided to punish the basketball teams, by not allowing them to participate in post-season tournaments in 1966. I never have figured that one out. Billybee, you need to understand FB expectations have always been modest to low in Wilson County. Wilson County borders 6 separate counties which have all won state championships in football. 5 of the 6 have multiple titles. Would you believe Wilson County (12th most populated of 95) FB teams have NEVER won a TSSAA state championship? NOR EVEN PLACED A TEAM IN THE FINALS, (yes, I'm yelling.)except for Friendship once. Of course, this year only makes 41 years since the playoffs began. So we may be guilty of being a little impatient. Compare and contrast Wilson County FB success with Rutherford, Sumner, and Trousdale counties, in particular. How many gold balls in those 3 counties alone? Ridiculous. Also Wilson County girls basketball teams have won 6 state championships since 1971. So I theorized it might have something to do with the shape of the ball, and how true it bounced. Until, I realized that no boys basketball team from Wilson County has ever won a title or finished runners-up. Amazing. Can somebody, anybody, explain this to me?
  12. no mj team has ever been 6-0 I believe they were 9-0 in 1961 and finished 9-1.
  13. Is TTU really a better job than Belmont considering everything? And if so, why?
  14. I fully expect all the Wilson Central camp games to be filmed by "joeyT" and/or "hoopsrgr8". You should be able to view them on youtube shortly.
  15. McMillan Is a really really good coach. Happy for him. Good luck. Russell is a better coach. IMO. They'd be fools not to hire him.

    Big ones

Reminds me of a hanging chad.
  17. And now for something completely different. http://www.northjersey.com/news/aroundnj/W...im_prayers.html
  18. Civil Rights activists of the 1950's and 60's are praised as heroes today because they engaged in widespread civil disobedience. Same with Gandhi. They broke existing laws that they deemed unjust, in order to get the laws changed. Maybe that is what is called for now. Break the law, ignore the high courts, and let the chips fall where they may. Take a stand. A stand on principle and honor and faith. Stop rolling over for the squawking minority every time. A personal thank you to Coach Louie Thompson for what he said. He's been a giant in high school coaching for many years now, and I bet Bear would be proud of him and his position on this lunacy. What say you?
  19. Make the high school game look just like AAUful games. Shot clock, empty gyms, cheerleader coaches, and ballhogging players going one on one. Only difference will be no slobbering college coaches will be at the games because the NCAA won't grant the same privilege to the high schools that they give to the AAU. Yeah. The shot clock. Thats the ticket. Make it a 10 second clock to maximize the excitement.
  20. I think it may be best that Memphis Central and Oak Ridge play out the fantasy AAA state championship here on CoachT. I'm sure they both have great teams, wonderful coaches, loyal fans, and talented players. But....history ain't on their side. Middle Tennessee has won the last 6 AAA gold balls and 10 out of the last 11. A Memphis team hasn't won AAA in 24 years. But maybe this is the year. I don't pretend to know. That's why they play the tourney. I do know that sometimes when you fatten up the team resume with weak-sister opponents, it is easy and understandable to get a false idea about the strength of your team. Pretty presumptious to ignore the midstate teams. I say one of them will heft the golden hardware again. But...good luck and good health to all.
  21. Region 5 AAA has produced the top 2 scorers in the latest NCAA statistics. Pretty remarkable thing really. http://www.ncaa.com/sports/w-baskbl/stats/...s-per-game.html
