Playoffs (3-3A vs. 4-3A)

Last year region 4 totally controlled the playoffs, on the exception of Notre Dame. This year Meigs seems to be the dominant team in region 3, so will it be a repeat of last year with Meigs taking the place of ND or will the other three teams in Region 3-3a step it up. It would be great if region 3 could dominate and one of the teams eliminate station camp. We will see what happens, but what do yall think>

3-3A's four teams will be Notre Dame, Meigs Co., Polk Co., & Howard (not in that order). 4-3A's playoff teams will either go:

a.) Station Camp, Pearl Cohn, White House, & Sycamore

b.) Station Camp, Pearl Cohn, Sycamore, & Greenbrier

c.) Station Camp, Pearl Cohn, Sycamore, & Macon Co.

I do believe that 4-3A is the toughest region in all of 3A from top-to-bottom. That does not mean that the best team is in this region. What it does mean is that there will be one very deserving team, maybe two, that misses the playoffs. Station Camp & Pearl Cohn are the only two teams to clinch right now. Sycamore can clinch this week with a win over DeKalb Co. White House can clinch a playoff spot, and control their own destiny as far as the region title is concerned, this week with a win over Station Camp. If they lose they are going to have to win in week ten to get into the playoffs (whether it be as a #2 seed OR #3 seed). This is so because Macon Co. & Greenbrier play this week and the winner of that game would be very much alive in the playoff picture with a WH loss at unbeaten Station Camp.

Meigs Co. is the 3-3A champion. They deserve this because they've beaten Polk, ND, & Howard on the field. Howard will either wind up as a #3 OR a #4 seed. They beat Polk Co. and lost to Notre Dame. Those two teams play in week ten. If Polk Co. beats ND it will go Polk #2, ND #3, & Howard #4. If ND beats Polk it will go ND #2, Howard #3, & Polk Co. #4. In any event those are the four teams that are playoff bound.

HOWEVER IT DOES WIND UP GOING, THESE WILL MAKE FOR FOUR PRETTY GOOD GAMES TO OPEN THE TSSAA STATE PLAYOFFS B)

Station Camp is a good team but if they play Howard I wouldnt be surprised if the #4 team pulled the upset. Not sayin it'll happen like that, but there is a very good possibility.

Most likely the teams with home field will advance.

If Howard is the #4 then that means Polk Co. beats ND. Do you believe that is going to be what happens in 3-3A???? I wouldn't assume Station Camp to be #1 just yet. White House & Pearl Cohn are the two toughest tests they'll see all year and they did look too dominant against teams that those teams handled in Sycamore & Macon Co.

Ok good luck too both regions. But sorry it really doesnt matter how it plays out because the state champion is going too come from region 2 3a. It will be either Fulton, Catholic, Austin East or Kingston. Preferably Fulton or Catholic. It really doesnt matter because other regions cant compete with any team in region 2. The other team Scott County , Anderson County, and Livingston Academy are not bad teams, it is just who they play each week.

Region 2

1. Catholic

2. Fulton

3. Austin East

4. Kingston

5. Anderson County

6. Scott County

7. Livingston Academy (2005 State Champions)
