As far as I know, the games are still on for tonight. If I hear any different, I'll post first thing. One thing I plan to do tonight that I've never done is take photos of the opposing team's matches as well, simply for coacht. I would also like to see coacht make an appearance!

Thanks, score3. I would sure appreciate you taking some photos of Page as I will be keeping my scoresheet. I wll take some photos of the award ceremony, however. I kind of doubt CoachT will make the matches as there are golf and soccer tournaments occuring today. I'm sure your photos will be excellent as usual.

Page Defeated Loretto 3-0 to win Region 6 A-AA Championship!

Here are the scores:

 

Semi-Finals:

Page defeated Summertown 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 25-16)

Loretto defeated Eagleville 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-10)

 

Championship:

Page defeated Loretto 3-0 (35-33, 25-17, 25-11)

 

Game 1 of the Championship was a real thriller as it was within 1 or 2 pts. from 19-18 Loretto until the end as Page had a kill by Katie Vanderburg to make it 34-33 Page and Katie Gutherie had the winning kill as Page won 35-33. This game lasted 35 min. as both teams gave it their all. In game 2, Page went ahead at 12-8 on consecutive aces by Vanderburg and maintained that lead as the game winning point went the Dre Townsend with a kill fopr the Page win at 25-17. Loretto seemed tired in game 3 as progressed as Page went ahead early at 3-2 and increased their lead down the stretch to win 25-11. Nicole Smith was named Regional MVP as she had several kills and blocks duiring the match. I'll have the regional team and the points analysis tomorrow.

 

Page will host a sectional on Thursday with David Lipscomb coming to Rudderville while Loretto travels to DCA for another sectional.

Just submitted some photos on all three games. Not a good variety as I was shooting from one spot all night, but it works.
