Even though Obion County will not be going to the playoffs they have come a LONG way. 6 and 4 overall record this year and 9th all time best in school history.

 

The Rebels beat Ripley tonight 15 - 13 on a 23 yard field goal by Grady late in the game.

 

Great job this season Rebels. You had a great season and one to be proud of.

Well i heard on the radio that OC is now in the playoffs. Hope this is true. If so good luck the rest of the way.

No it's not true....7-3A Playoff teams....

1.Crockett County

2.Dyersburg

3.Covington

4.Haywood County

 

Haywood County goes to the playoffs with the worst overall record(3-7)in the entire region.....This region had only two teams with a losing record,Dyer County(4-6) and Haywood County....This region had a team with a winning record,Obion Central(6-4) and Ripley had a .500 record at 5-5 to not make the playoffs...As far as Haywood goes,it was who they beat,not how many they beat...They were 2-4 in the region,same as OC but they beat OC 14-12....This region had a 23-4 record vs.non region opponents..

Well just tough luck. Congrats to the Rebels on a winning season but too bad yall couldnt make the playoffs and good luck next year.
