tennessee top 20 prospects list

you are telling me that no big guys are part of the top twenty. could it be that the people that vote only know stats, and not football???

this is not an all-state list for the last time. people are not voting they are evaluating and scouting. they use video tape, performances from the scout.com combines and other camps, and come in person to the games. there are good linemen in tn but i guess not high profile enough to make the top 20 players list.

The guys that do these lists watch countless hours of film, travel all around the country to watch games and practices, and attend all of the major combines. They don't just look at stats, there have been plenty of big time stat guys who go nowhere. Look at past lists and you will see lineman and tight ends. Last years top two were B. Warrren TE and J. McClendon OL.

The new rankings probably won't be out untill sometime at the end of the summer after all the camps and combines.

Mason is ranked 4th on the NEW list. Smith isn't in top 25, i think they have him as a 2 star on rivals.

thanks for the info. i seen on rivals they have no film on him. could be a reason y he isnt ranked oh well. still a good player.
