That's kinda like our boys lineup (except you're experiencing more success, partly because you're used to the quality of district play among other things).

We have 12 players. 7 sophomores. And 2 start. And 4 are called on right away. Scary when you play with experienced teams in the district.

Does Sequatchie play anyone in district play the rest of the season that will give them any problems? I can't recall anyone.

The last game of the season the Feb. 9th game at Bledsoe County would probably be the only one that might give them problems. They played tough for a half in the last game and with it being a rivalry game and at home they will be fired up for it so Sequatchie will have to be ready for it.

They have a good group of young players. The older players are small in number but play well too (two seniors and one junior, one other junior has limited playing time this year but is working hard to get better).

Is the Barker girl the coach's daughter and is the Tucker girl's family from Whitwell? Been along time since I've been in the valley! Just curious!

Kelly returned to practice today for the first time since the concussion! Thanks for your concern & we are thankful to God for her recovery!

Glad to hear she is OK! Not been in the valley in awhile, but I do know of her family. I follow the careers of these athletes of families I know.

Yes Kathrine Barker is the coaches daughter, and Malorie Tucker's family is from Whitwell

Thank you so much. It is interesting to see and hear these family names from awhile ago. Almost too long ago. Can't wait to see the Indians here in the Boro come this March.

    • yeah, I have no idea then. How does one win Player of the Year and not Mr. Baseball? Are they both essentially the same thing and measured differently?
    • Which luminary shall reprise the mantle to helm Trousdale County's football endeavors? Shall it be the venerable Waggoner, Barker, or the illustrious Creasy? Might Clint grace us anew in the capacity of coach? Pray, to which sheriff doth your discourse pertain? Should it be the distinguished Ray Russell, his acumen is indeed noteworthy.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
