While all you big time varisty freaks live in the past and claim super natural abilities to spout off on the who, why, and where of teenage glory, there are a lucky few of us that know where the true spirit of real wrestling still resides.

 

Free of booing, knows no political wrangling, and best of all, the dads don't walk around with puffed out chest and inflated egos.

 

Where else can the ultra talented be matched up against a virgin grappler? Here you can see the "almost" varisty either subcome to his deflated hopes to put in a half ###### effort or pick himself up and srap to the last second buzzer.

 

Where wizzers are wasted, head throws are plentiful, and coaching staffs spend as much time encouraging the newbies as they do getting in the face of the talented. Coaching staffs that are wonderful people, excellent leaders, and inspirations to us all.

 

It is in the hallowed halls of JUNIOR VARSITY where future heros are made and hope is first instilled in the wanta bees. Where a kid can get pinned in less than 20 seconds and come off the mat with a big smile on his face. Tears are eliminated, tournaments stretch into the early morning hours, and best of all, no over crowing in the stands!

 

A kick ###### match is still just as respected and appreciated as in the big time. Where the greatest challenge is to not be seen laughing your fanny off watching the moves created on the fly that have never been seen before or will be seen ever again!

 

So enjoy your trip to Clarksville while you crawl all over yourselves in that BIG arena, continue to fantasize about your 15 minutes of fame, and critique your varisty coaches and second guess their descisons. We JV folks will continue to enjoy wrestling what it is really meant for: THE BOYS!

The most fun I've had this season is traveling with my JV guys. It has helped me get a better perspective. It is pure.

 

I guess that's why I like coaching JV baseball so much too.
