JOHNSON COUNTY COULD BE THE TEAM TO WATCH. THEY ARE PLAYING GOOD BASKETBALL AT THIS TIME AND THEY COULD CHALLENGE UNICIO FOR THE DISTRICT.

 

ELIZABETHTON HAS TALENT. I COULD SEE THEM GETTING HOT AT THE RIGHT TIME.

 

THE ONLY WAY UNICIO SHOULD LOSE THE DISTRICT IS IF THEY GIVE SOMEONE A GAME. THIS THING SHOULD BE THEIRS IF THEY WANT IT.

 

UNIVERSITY HIGH HAS THE BEST CHANCE. BUT THE DISTRICT TOURNAMENT IN THE PAST HASN'T BEEN VERY KIND TO THE BUCS.

 

CLOUDLAND AND HAMPTON WILL PLAY IN THE FIRST ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT. THE WINNER OF THIS GAME NEEDS TO BE PLAYING THEIR BEST BASKETBALL OF THE SEASON IN ORDER TO BEAT THE BUCS.

 

UNAKA: WELL THEY ARE UNAKA YOU CAN'T COUNT THEM OUT. THEY ARE A DARK HORSE. WHO COULD SURPRISE MANY.

 

HAPPY VALLEY: CHARLIE HAS WON MORE GAME THAN ALL THESE OTHER COACHES COMBINED HE COULD SLOW THE GAME DOWN AND WIN ONE BY KEEPING THE SCORE LOW. REMEMBER IN THE TOURNAMENT THE GAME BECOMES MORE OF A HALF COURT.

CLOUDLAND AND UNAKA NEED GYMS. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN THESE TWO GYMS HOLD COMFORTABLE? 500-600? BUILD IT, WIN AND THE PEOPLE WILL COME.

Comfortably for Unaka, I'd say 700 to 800... Fire Marshall came before the 05 sub-state game and mesured it out, and I think he said Unaka could have 1,032 max... Of course that was with the bleachers they built along the baseline... Id say Cloudland holds no more than 600.... County shot down a plan for a new gym at Unaka last year I believe...

Unaka could be remodeled and hold more... for a 1A gym it is almost perfect, especially the atmosphere. If you could make it hold enough to keep the fire marshall's nose out of it, there would be no need for a new one. Alot of classics in that place....

Yeah, I always thought that if they took out that wall facing the highway, they could put some bleachers on the baseline like they have at Unicoi... The locker rooms are already there, so they cound support the new seats and wall.
