QUOTE(ah20 @ Mar 1 2007 - 10:47 PM) 826396155Which team has the strongest defense this year?

Farragut has a very solid D with returning all but one starter.

Nic Paolucci (all state last year)

Joseph Muth (all region last year)

Mitchell Ishmael and Tyler Mottern (both start on u17 d1 state champs KFC Arsenal)

Bearden is playing a 3-5-2....that's right- 3 defenders. Brandon Wyrick is on the outside, the center defender is Trevor Cook and the other outside starter is still up for grabs. Patrick Henry is a freshman and is very solid. The other kid is called Skeet- I think...don't know his real name. Someone please help. Of course Brian Walker at keeper. They are a fast defense.

QUOTE(Laydown @ Mar 2 2007 - 01:36 PM) 826397078Dyersburg have some talented young defenders in Kyle Youmans and William Lay. Dyersburg's defense will be key this year against teams like westview, usj and northside

hmmmmm... Laydown says William Lay will be good... sounds like someone is talking about himself, or brother

im assuming brentwoods defense will be stout this year. i know they have danny rayburn and hes, no doubt, one of the best defenders in state.

hendersonville also has a good defense. they're very smart in the back. t.j. brown is one of the better defenders in state, so having him is always a plus.

QUOTE(Laydown @ Mar 4 2007 - 03:22 PM) 826399514Dyersburg's defense kept three clean sheets this weekend, and we had to do without fowler for 2 games.

don't forget that yall only played tca milan and scotts hill not that there horrible teams but they dont match up to the likes of usj northside or westview

QUOTE(DHS Soccer @ Mar 4 2007 - 07:28 PM) 826399817We know, but you have to start somewhere. Milan has really improved from last year and had some foreign players, made for a good game

point. what was the score of yalls games? how did westview do in the jamboree?

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
