JustBeingNosy
QUOTE(jhoutsider @ Mar 18 2007 - 07:57 PM) 826416759was Central in the final? Central finished third......Notre Dame and Kingston ended up co-champions after Notre Dame forced the if necessary game. That game ended at 11:45 and Kingstons pitcher got hurt so they ended up not playing again.

slappy10
QUOTE(carlym @ Mar 18 2007 - 09:30 PM) 826416928notre dame and kingston are not co-champions. the teams decided on a run differential rule and notre dame came out on top. To tell you the truth about what really happened the tournament official met with the kingston coach and explained to him about the light situation and that there was no way they could play the if game. The tournament officals decided that since Kingston was in the Championship through the winners bracket they would get the champions trophy. The run differential was only mentioned by the Notre Dame coach Kingston was given the Champions Trophy, but their coach didnt want to sit there and argue about it all night after they had been there for 14 hours so he let the Notre Dame Coach have it, and took the runner up trophy, but they are co champions. carlym
seriously, they are not co-champions. the kingston coach said before the light situation came up that he did not want to play another game. and the tournment official took the trophy from the kingston coach and gave it to the notre dame coach. and the kingston coach does not seem that humble. not only were kingstons coachs disrespectful but so were the parents. there is always 2 sides to a story but this was not a co-champion situation.
