Congrats to Peter Pullen

Congratulations to Nashville's own Peter Pullen for winning his second straight State Championship. Coach Pullen is a Maplewood graduate and former coach at Harpeth and Stratford. He is currently the head boys basketball coach at Dunbar High School in Dayton, Ohio. This afternoon he led his team to their second state finals victory in a row. To view the official box score:

What is your connection to Pete Pullen? I am a former player of his from his days at Harpeh High School. I would also like to offer congratulations to Coach Pullen on his Ohio State Championship. How long has been the coach at Dunbar High? I wasn't sure he was still coaching. Thanks for sharing the information.

We coached together at Stratford in the 90's and still keep in touch. Peter was a fine football coach also.

 

By the way, on of his best players is Anthony Oden, Greg Oden's brother. "Little" brother Anthony is 6'8 and 275. Dequan Cook, a freshman at Ohio State, was their star last season.
