11AAA - most parity and competitive district ever

I have seen a lot of 11AAA matches over the past 4 or 5 years and this is by far the most competitive and exciting it's ever been.

2 huge games this week - BHS vs Indy, BHS vs RHS

These 2 games this week will give an indication of what 2 teams will come out of the district. I cant decide which of the 3 yet.

Even for once there will be some interesting first round matchups (which are usually blowouts) involving others like Overton, Centennial, and Franklin.

The district semis are going to be nailbiters to see which 2 survive.

Even though Brentwood has faltered of late, it's hard to bet against them. They have a good goalie and Bradley Jacobs is a scoring machine.

Moises of Indy is almost impossible to stop.

Ravenwood is solid top to bottom in lineup and can hang with anyone, that Will dude is talented and RJ too.

The results of these 2 games this week could be completely flipped when it truly counts next week.

PS- please post later on district seedings, matchups, dates, times, etc. Also scores, game observations, etc.

Brentwood 4-1-1 in district with Indy and RHS left

Ravenwood 5-0-2 with BHS left

Indy 4-1-1 with BHS and Overton left

Overton 3-1-2 with Franklin and Indy left

Franklin 4-1-1 with Overton and Centennial left

Centennial record unknown due to incomplete eurosportscoreboard results, but they beat BHS 1-0

No other district in the state is as hard to get out of in 2007

Good luck to all of the teams in 11AAA !

QUOTE(usasoccer0024 @ Apr 30 2007 - 06:56 PM) 826448610[/snapback]Centennial is actually 3-2-1 with Hickman county tom. and Franklin on Thursday.

Brentwood rebounded against Hendersonville so will probably be back to their old selves tonight against a tough tough Independence who went toe to toe with MBA.

I'm sure that one is tough too.

The middle of the pack Williamson County teams would win many other AAA districts (maybe not that one though).

three of the top eight teams in AAA are in district eleven (bwood, indy, rwood), bearden is number one, but farragut is down, and south doyle and maryville are only solid, not great.

The only reason other areas dont realize how hard the district is because Brentwood and one other team usually make it out of district every year, but this year could be different with Ravenwood solidifying itself as a powerhouse every year and Independence is becoming one very quickly.

Franklin, Centennial, and Overton have all had their moments this year too

Both the district tournaments and regional tournaments should be exciting this year in AAA for middle and east tn. This year and next year especially more than others. At the club level the u-17 age group has so many quality players. I believe there is around 17 teams in that age group alone. Most of those teams have some really good players and when you add the quality of the u-18 and u-16 teams, the numbers of players in TN are just astounding as compared to 5 years ago.
