BigL
QUOTE(ValverdeTDF07 @ May 8 2007 - 07:26 PM) 826454803[/snapback]I would have to say that playing bad in the rain is an excuse. Their two losses have been agianst Bearden and Oak Ridge. The other three ranked teams that they have played this year they have tied. I have said earlier that I think Farragut has the most talented team in the state, and one of the best shots at going all the way but the fact is that they have yet to win a big game agianst "the big boys." the only thing is that none of this matters. Its tourny time, the start of a new season
ValverdeTDF07
not true, your team must have quality top notch wins to go all the way. without one when you get to a big game you are much more likely to fall apart. they can get those kind of wins in region and district but they are running out of time

Ha Ha I know baseball and soccer are not the same sport ( I hope everyone knows that) But what you said is that Farragut has yet to win against a "Big Dog" team, and you think that will hurt them. I am just saying that it is tournament time and anything can happen in the tournament. ( Who thought Sevier county would beat Maryville?) Nothing up to this point matters....The tourny is like the start of a new season everyone starts out 0-0-
OnThePitch
I am sorry I am stuck on this topic, so this will be my last comments///// Tournament time is different if and that is a big IF, The team and the coach find a way to put it together. Yes, it is true some teams fold if they haven't won the big ones, and some teams truly find their calling and become State Champions like Bearden did last year. Their season was up and down and they came together when it mattered. Turner should get credit for that. Teams rise at tourney time but so do great coaches. I still have my money on Bearden And Farragut to states.
PinballWizard
I just want to say that I know Bearden and Farragut will BOTH come to play for the rest of the year. Its how they always have been. They BOTH always step up at the end of the year. So why talk about how Farragut is going to be a little off their game or Bearden is going to be amazing in the tourney. Every team is struggling for berth at state and seniors are fighting for their last high school game ever. Players will be very hyped for these games its up to the coach to channel it into great play. I say Bearden will win by three and Farragut will win by three also. Then it will set up one of the great games of the season this Friday night.
BigG
Farragut is up 3-0 in the second half.
