I'm obviously not BigG, but I've played them my fair share this year. I would say on the left wing Chase Neiri (sorry on spelling) is a great player. Very physical great on the ball one of Catholics best players. Next Ricardo, or something like that can't exactly remember his name plays forward. Great player dangerous if allowed to turn. Number 4 on there team is yet another great player he plays center mid. Strong tall player wins many headers, and had a great shot from far out. Actually scored on us from about 30. Lastly Cathlics left fullback has incredible foot skills, and loves to take it down left flank for chip or through ball. Catholic is very strong and physical, and will give you a great game.

Sammy, this pretty much sums it up. Penguin nailed most of it. If you let Ricardo turn on you, he is deadly. Tyler #8 (small guy) has the most INFURIATING way of winning headers over people 2 feet taller than him! Chase is a beast, who is so stinking fast, and has a killer left foot. The play fast and high pressure. They have an "ok" keeper... the way to score on him is by pk's. He really stinks at that. No, wait, I got that wrong... He is an outstanding keeper, who is very good at saving pk's. That sounds a bit better. They will come at you for the entire 80 minutes. I wish you the best of luck, but if Catholic doesn't make it to the state finals, I will be amazed.

BigG, be nice. /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

You and I both know that any team that starts to believe in their own press clippings will soon be left at home reading about the other teams that advanced and thinking about what might have been. This Irish team is a hard working, blue collar lot that needs to concentrate and work hard to win. They are no where near as talented as most of their rivals and they need to play one game at a time to keep playing. Pigeon Forge is the next hurdle and the state finals are a long way off.

By the way, your Warriors are the side I fully expect to have one of the two slots in the finals, especially if Brandon and your other injured kids can get healthy. Good luck with Elizabethton on Saturday, my friend. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Finally, what are you doing surfing CoachT at 1:20 AM? That sounds like something an aging insomniac would do. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

    • Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
