Does this Kingsport Times News not cover local sports, or do they just not post it online. I was looking to see how D-B was coming along, but cant seem to find anything on their site.

I haven't looked in awhile but I believe they are still requiring an online subscription.

They do. Pay a small charge and you get the entire paper in pdf format. It is pretty neat, but you do have to pay a few bucks per month. Also www.tricitiessports.com will have info on DB.

The free online version has essentially no news or sports in it. The pay version is essentially a copy of their hard copy edition. So there is very little value to their online site these days. It was once a decent site.

 

But even the pay edition - online or hard copy, don't really cover DB football. They cover schools in SW. VA and other schools all around Kingsport but usually don't put the Indians on page 1 of the sports section unless it involves one of the teams they do cover. Heaven forbid that the Indians play Karnes or something. The article, if there is one, is relegated to 2 paragraphs on page 7.

 

 

Just try Tricities Sports as mentioned above and save your money. They do a good job with many local teams.
