Lenoir City vs Campbell County Scrimmage

Did anyone happen to see the lc- cc scrimmage last night??? My question is, will LC score this year and can a team in 4a ball have any smaller linebackers and db's. We better improve quick if we want to be better than 1-9.

Yes i did see the schrimmage last night and although lc didnt score...neither did the other team...against the number ones! We didnt move the ball into the in zone but we did move the ball pretty well. we hurt ourselves with penalties such as holding....but also we have only been in full pads 3 days all year. CC put up a great fight and were pretty evenly matched with us. but as far as the lbs and defensive backs go...they may be small but at least they got heart...somthing last years team didnt have. Yes where young but where here to get better every week and compete!!!! Go panthers!!!

I was at the scrimage last night and you prety much said it.

 

!st teams tied 0-0, Lenior city doesn't realy have a big play player. The best part of their team is the line right now they have decent size, I noticed they are alot more phyisical then last year and played their buts off.

I wish the panthers well this season i see them winning more games.

 

As for CC they came out and ran the ball decent. They have alot more speed then last year and a pretty good athlete at QB.

 

The passing game struggled a bit they dropped a slant that they probly would have scored on. They also had a perfect screen set up and the closees LC player to him was the Saftey he Def. would have scored if he would have caught it.

 

QB didnt said his feet on some theirfore, the passes and were off.

 

CC's Def. looked great they are very fast to the ball and had some good sticks. I think they only completed 3or 4 passes but they were just 5 yard slants. Lenior city's biggest play was on a QB scramble for about

25-30 yards. If CC gets the passing game together to set up the run i see them doing very well this season.

I do hope that your right, but you need more than heart to go better than 1-9. All that people remember are the wins and losses. More rotation is needed on the o and d lines and if the coaches do keep people fresh we might compete.
