THIS IS WHAT REALDEAL THINKS OF TEAMS WHO CHEAT THE SYSTEM. 1. IF A KID IS SO DUM THAT HE IS 15 IN THE 6TH GRADE, WHY IN THE HE-- IS AAU REWARDING THESE KIDS BY LETTING THEM PLAY WITH 12 AND 13 YEAR OLDS. THATS THE DUMEST THING I EVER HEARD OF. 2. THIS PAST WEEKEND I SEEN A TEAM FROM MEMPHIS CALLED YOMCA. THESE BOYS///MEN WERE EVERY BIT OF 14, 15 YEARS OLD. TO MAKE IT EVEN BETTER THE YOMCA TEAMS IS UNDER THE PRESIDENT OF ALL OF AAU. IF U EVEN DESPUTE IT YOUR GOING TO LOSE THE BATTLE. AAU REALLY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT. ITS REALLY NOT FAIR TO COACHES WHO HAVE THEIR RIGHT AGES..... GRADE EXCEPTIONS ARE FINE BUT NOT WHEN THE KID IS OLD AS HE--. HATE TO CALL KIDS DUM.. SORRY FOR THAT. ONE AGE! IF A KID IS 13 AND IN THE 6TH GRADE. YEA HE CAN PLAY. NOT A HOLE TEAM OF THEM BUT 2 IS OK. MAYBEE COACHES NEED TO GET TOGETHER AND PROTEST THAT. JUST A THOUGHT!!!! HAY WHATS YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS SUBJECT. REALDEAL THE SOURCE FOR INFORMATION.

Hey, I totally agree with you. And not that memphis needs to do it because they're gonna dominate reguardless if they play kids down or up, but that is one of the main Reasons Memphis is so dominate in AAU because the rules are bent a lil bit to where kids are sorta reward for failing a grade or whatever the case was. Well said.

I AGREE ITS A SHAME HOW MEMPHIS LETS THEIR TEAMS DO WHAT EVER, YES THERE ARE GREAT BALL PLAYERS THAT ARE FROM MEMPHIS BUT IF A KID IS 12 13 14 15 THEY NEED TO PLAY WITH THAT AGE GROUP NOT BE 15 AND PLAY WITH THE 13 YEAR OLDS IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE OTHER TEAMS, MEMPHIS HAS THE AAU COMMITTEE ON THEIR SIDE WHY BECAUSE OF WHO RUNS THE SHOW AND ITS NOT FAIR IF EVRYBOSY WOULD PLAY THE GAME AND PLAY THE GAME EQUALLY THEN YOU WILL SEE MORE TALENT NOT JUST FROM MEMPHIS...

Sounds like SOUR GRAPES to me...what about the teams that have competed (boys) in past years (Robert O'Kelly,Tony Harris,Corey Bradford, etc) that have completely dominated with talent in their age groups or younger? Some boys who play 16U also play 17U which means they are playing up (YOMCA) like Mr. Basketball Andre Allen. Just face it, the rest of the state (except maybe Nashville) is FAR behind.

NASHVILLE IS NOT FAR BEHIND,IF TRUTH BE TOLD MEMPHIS IS STILL LIVING IN THE GOLDEN AGES SUCH AS JERRI CURLS AND COUNTRY FIDE, NASHVILLE HAVE ALOT OF TALENTED KIDS PLAYING BASKETBALL AND MANY OTHER SPORTS IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE WHEN YOU PLAY UP SUCH AS YOU SAID 16YR OLDS PLAYING WITH THE 17 YR OLDS BUT WHEN YOU HAVE 15 YR OLDS PLAYING WITH 13 AND 12 YEAR OLDS GIVE ME A BREAK. THE TEMAS THAT COMPETED LAST YEAR FROM MEMPHIS HAD BOYS WHO WERE SUPPOSE TO BE IN THE 6TH GRADE PLAYING ON 4TH AND 5TH GRADE LEVELS NOW ASK YOUR SELF WHY, MEMPHIS DOES HAVE A GOOD BASKETBALL PROGRAM WITH TALENTED PLAYERS BUT ASK YOURSELF WHATS UP WITH THE GRADES AND THE BOOKS, MAJORITY OF THOSE TEAMS HAVE MORE EXCEPTIONAL PLAYERS THAN ANYBODY, BEEN THERE AND SEEN IT. SO DON'T KNOCK NASHVILLE BECAUSE OUR STATE SCORES ARE HIGH AND WE PLAY BY THE BOOK, BUT MEMPHIS DOESN'T PLAY BY THE BOOK ESPECIALLY WHEN THE AAU IS HOUSED FROM THERE NEED I SAY MORE...

I CAN BELIEVE THAT BUT WHAT ABOUT THE YOUNGER AGE GROUP I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY CHEAT THE SYSTEM THEIR ARE GOOD BALL PLAYERS IN EVERY AGE GIVE SOME ONE ELSE A CHANCE TO PLAY AND LET THE BOYS WHO ARE OLDER MOVE UP TO THERE CAPABILITY BECAUSE IT NOT ONLY HURTS THE TEAMS IT HURTS THE PLAYERS AS WELL.....

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
