Well noone got hot i suppose, but what are you gonna do about a 66 Denman is a beast... Im gonna say dekalb will take the region this year with Denman low medalist(whole region), Grant Goodwin next lowest score on team, then Austin and Tyler with James pullin up the rear by a stroke or to.

Well Dekalb took the Region with a score of 294. Four medalist...Denman, Garrett, Goodwin and James. Portland came in second and station camp third. I told you that these boys are good. four in the 70's and one 80. The closest to them was 29 strokes away. See you at the STATE.

yes but they shot that @ at par 70 that is not that hard of a course. Yes they are good but if they didnt have payne they would go nowhere

The other schools were playing on the same course as Dekalb. River Watch is a very hard course and they beat tripleA White County and Payne was in Florida in a tournament and they had to play without him. Payne is an exceptional golfer and a great kid. They beat their nearest competitor 27 strokes and if Payne was not there they would have used their 5 man and still beat them 17 strokes. Dekalb has a lot of talent. These kids are averaging in the 70's and I think they will leave their mark on the state. Very few kids come along with the talent that Payne has but there are other top notch players on Dekalbs team. Thats why its called a team .

i can tell you for sure the other kids on dekalbs team compare nowhere near to the other players in state.. none of them are any good.. just learn that and get on with it.. payne carries that team and will probably get tired of it soon so they need to teach these kids to golf

Payne is a once in a life time golfer. Good golfer and a good kid. That said, Joe David is also a good golfer and he went to the state alone because it takes a team to make it as a team. One player will not take you. Thats why individuals go so that players who don't have back up can go on their own. Payne will always be there and will probably win the next two years. He is by far the best player in the state in his age group. The rest of the kids left on Dekalbs team are sophmores and freshmen and if you shoot in the thirties at this age you are among the few that do. Watch them next year and see and good luck to Cookeville next year maybe they can win. Dekalb came in third in their division and Cookeville came in second in theirs. Middle Tn is blessed. Never put a kid down it does you no good and sometimes does harm to the kids.
