Rules Question

My son is just a freshman but moved up to varsity last week. I was surprised to learned that the varsity squad had practice on Sunday. Is this legal? I'm not trying to start anything I just honestly dont know. I couldnt find anything on the rule. I thought somebody on here may know.

there is nothing against this in the rules. some schools meet on saturday mornings

as far as i know there are no rules in high school football restricting practice to certain days of the week during the season. There are rules restricting practice during the offseason. and the NCAA limits the number of hours that coaches can spend with players during each week, but i don't think this applies to high school.

 

Normally coaches will not practice on the weekends to allow the players time to rest and recover from the game on friday.

Thanks guys. I had no idea. I kinda like to have Sundays as a family day, but if its legal then he needs to be there.
