I just wanted to let everyone out there know that Livingston Academy no longer plays football. They play a new found game some like to call POLITICS. Yes it is sad but its very true. It is upsetting to me that this once state championship team whose once goal was always be the best is now political. Not sure but the last time I checked a coach was supposed to lead the team, make them be the best, teach and encourage, not worry about who is going to get the job of principle and how many butts they can kiss. It is sad these boys have to go through this, it is not their fault. They are having a rough season but it totally stinks when your own coach is not even on YOUR SIDE. I never thought it would come to this but I am ashamed to say I am from Hog-eye. I know everyone saw what I did friday night so let HIM know!! The one game LA could have won we were totally screwed over by the leading man supposed to be leading the team to victory not to a hot spot behind a nice desk in a office with a view.

I was there on Scott's sideline and I saw the coach go nuts once and he kept em pretty long after the game but what did he or you do.

I dont know who you are but I do know you don't know what you are talking about. I was at the game last night and I have no idea what you are talking about. LA very well could have won this game if they wouldn't have made some key mistakes. The coach seems to be doing everything in his power to help the boys win, and if you were a real HOGEYE fan you would support your team in every way you could, and not be ashamed of where you're from. Personally, I think that is sad.

well if your from scott you prob dont know much bout our little coach or team. let me fill ya in. We have an awesome sophomore quarterback young but has so much talent. all of a sudden last night he puts in a freshman qb who cant do jack mccoin the sophomore qb stood on the sidelines and had to watch his team get humilated on one game they possibly had a chance to win. There was nothing he could do because in this team we obviously like to play politics 24/7. The coaching was ridiculas and the only reason this freshman went in is because the right butts in the coaches eyes are obviously gettin kissed hard. Somethin needs to be done la coach needs to get his head where it belongs and play these boys on talent not on whose daddy can get me where i need to go

well Personally, I don't care i dont understand why you change the startin line up from soph to fresh who is obviosly just not up to the task yet why did he take the startin qb out it makes no sense he did nothing wrong

      The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.

      I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.

      All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.

      No my fight, but ... if they were already college-caliber prior to transferring to BHS, and they already had FBS interest, and they end up at an FBS school, how did Bearden do anything for them?
