Oneida looked bigger, better, and faster then GP but just couldn't pull it together. It was my first OHS game but I was fun(at least the last 5 min. ) I'm sure the coaching staff will get the tribe right. Lambert and Co. definitely out-schemed GP. Well Sir, I respect your opinion about "execution" but I've seen plenty of what most fans are talking about from my days at Scott. You hit the nail on the head though about Gillum and Co. being excellent. It's not lazy kids, trust me I know, it's their middle school and other lower levels of coaching that's in our county. I also agree about the A-E statement but sounds like your personal problem. The boards are about dead for Scott & AC, so it seems. -History of good games between the two. -AC usually wins it by a small margin and the refs (in accord with history) seem to play a role. -Lying Larry vs His old shining star (David Gilllum). Two have a conflict that revolves around a big game. -Larry has never lost to Scott.(quoted in paper saying so) -Scott needs a signature win, -despite their major improvements in the past few years, Scott hasn't done better than 2-5 in region play It will be a good game, maybe even good enough for me to go to my first for the year. I wish the kids up on the mountain the best of luck. I know you've worked very hard so make it pay off. I also want to give you congrats on bringing some respect back to SHS Football. Your strides to excellence have been noted by many followers of the region. It was very clear when Gillum took over, his first year/my senior was the beginning of a new Scott. It was also clear it would take a few years for the dividends to pay off. I expect Scott to stay solid for a long time. A major problem in the past was kids who could have been good athletes never would step on the practice field. It's all starting to change. The 11-15 size senior classes we need are slowly starting to show.

I told you it would be a good game. Great coaching and hard work is slowly building a good program up on the mountain.

It's been a good series and possibly the last between the two. Good luck to both sides especially those wearin the red. Scott by 7.

I can't "blame" a lose on the refs, but does it make sense for teams in the same region not to use standard refs all across the board? Scott couldn't win over at the Knoxville Zoo because they can't shoot roadrunners and zebras at the same time. Yea, there has been some obnoxious posting in the past and I was one of them, but as you can tell, those days are in past. Take your W and be grateful for it because if you meet this team in the playoffs, you might not be so lucky.

Kaz, nice posting. Secondly, I'm proud of you Highlanders and to those of you who will read this, find a way to win some games. You've already proven how hard work and a great coach can slowly turn around a team. Take the KFL refs as dust on your shoulder because it's always been that way and have a great week of practice. The students usually start it first but it's pretty much an all across knoxville affair now. Which will be a better game? My past experience says midway because the gap was pretty soft in my day. It's either OHS or Campbell County, my fiancee's hometown, because I don't intend on watching Scott play the convicts.

Any year is a fun year to play football, unless your opener is against UCLA. Mutiny is the talk on campus. I'm hearing the tribe is going to be very good this year. I too have yet to see either team play, but I do know that if they kept Kingston to 21, then they are getting better compared to the last few years. It's crap that they even have to play in that region due to all the long traveling. Be ye prepared all talkers of ye smack, said monkey will be on ye back soon. How good is Kingston this year compared to some recent Alumni? Whats their record and who have they defeated?
