mikemcgee
Do you know how the Parker Eagles have been doing at the tournament? I saw them Friday night but haven't been able to find out anything about any game since then. [Edited by mikemcgee on 6/2/02 1:01P]
Guest tigers1234
After their 4-0 win over the Falcons, the Parker Eagles forfeited to the other Eagles due to only having 8 players, Swafford went to the hospital to get a knee checked out after sliding hard into 3rd on the triple and 3 other Chattanooga players left to go to senior parties. I think the forfeit was the first ever for Chris Williams who was not told about the 3 kids leaving for the party until the Falcons game ended and the next game was about to start. Very disappointing for the other 7 kids and particularily the out of town kids who had already paid their hotel bills for Saturday night. Megan Elliot had come out of the Falcons game to warm up to pitch the next game which was scheduled to begin immediately following the Falcon game. Jennifer Wright made the adjustment back to 40 feet and pitched very well in the Falcons game, one base runner allowed and a bunch of strikeouts. piratedad
the decision made to allow the other teamates to go to their respective senior events was a.voted on by the non attending team members with the blessing of the entire staff and parents. and b.shows chris williams true compassion and unrelenting true love for his players and their love for life beyond softball which shows he is truly in this for the kids he is a true winner with morals that are without question higher than that of most coaches in this win at all cost division of softball. his players present and past are still his kids and you will NOT ever see him be anything but fair and respectful from the teams opening prayer to the last out he is to be commended a truly stand up man .
