This game comes down to atheletes I believe.

If Butler plays for Gallatin vs. McGavock then Gallatin wins

If not i think McGavock wins

After watching Gallatin last week i pick

Gallatin - 21 McGavock -17

No Barnburner, they dont neccesarily need Butler to play, they need all the players to be on the right page and nobody going diffrent ways. I am goin to give the win to Mcgavock in the upset because of the of all thats gone wrong with the season the athletes that they have is just a shame this team is not better and the running back is ver good and with Franklin at receiver this team will come up with this upset and exspecially after the win over a great Overton team.

Mcgavock-21 Gallatin-7

Gallatin avg.19.8 pts per game and giving up avg. 24.4

McGavock avg 16.5 pts per game and giving up 22.7

Maloney for McGavock has been the main QB but last week Franklin the go-to at reciever played QB. Is that because of injury?

Maloney is not much of a threat to run the ball but Franklin ran for over 120 yards against Overton.

Abernathy is the leading rusher with Childress getting quality touches as well. Looks like they like to keep it on the ground as much as possible but Franklin and Abernathy both getting the majority of pass receptions. With Franklin playing QB they had a big night rushing for 322 yards on Overton. But the passing was almost nonexistant 2-4-15 yards. The Raiders have scored only once in 4 games but also have a 40pt outburst in the mix. Within the region they seem to play at the level of their competition and haven't been blown out by anybody. They also seem to play their best defense within the region.

This should be a good ball game and I bet it is close all the way.

Gallatins defence is going to be the key to them winning this ball game they will have

to play with the same intensity that they did last week, which by the way was very impressive

and a great job to all of those young men!!! keep it up this week we are going to need some

BIG hits to slow down a good rushing offense and maybe a sack or turnover by my buddy (13)

Last regular season game alot on the line, we gotta GO BIG or GO HOME so lets get fired up

and play again next week.

I couldn't agree more with you. The defence has worked hard this week going against the scout team with them running their offense. We need this game to stay in it and we realize that. We are playing for more than stats (just like last week.) And I will try my best to get a sack or a turnover /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> So I hope everyone comes to the game fired up and be ready for a good game.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
