F5HallOfFamer
congrats to a great football team. it just shows that a program with a lot of great recruitment pays off!! i just wonder how u guys get the players in there$$!! ifind it hard to believe that many d1 athletes come from alcoa? NOT TO GET ON THE R WORD ,but i would love to see the percentage rate of the players birth certificates who where born in blount co. vs. the ones who happen to transfer there from surrounding countys, states???? i would be willing to bet my savings on blount co.25% surrounding cities, county, states 75% no disrespect, but everbodyknows this.ya do a better job than most private schools. except for your neighbors, they must have more $$. Are you a sore loser or what?? Look here, you can take all the transfers or people you think we recruits and put them on DCA's team and they still would have gotten whipped. the qb Cobb is my close cousin and I was there when he was born! He's lived here for 17 long years, #21 Hodge, he's from Alcoa also and I ran summer track with him when he was like 9 yrs old, #3 Thompson, you know the guy that had a few ints. tonight and a few receiving td's is from Alcoa, #2 Tyson the big fullback is from Alcoa, I played with his cousin Mike, and he's a freshman. #1 Warren, the cousin of All-American Brandon Warren is from Alcoa. How did you like that 90 yrd run for a freshman?? So we don't need to recruit to win games in Blount Co. To tell you the truth, when I played in 2000, our team actually had more way more speed and talent than this years team, and all 40 of our players were from ALCOA!!!! mcwrestler
WAIT A SECOND. Rankin is a VP and coach. He was hired. He had good credentials and Alcoa pays teachers well. Any of them. Rankin is not a player, he is a coach. He gets paid for his efforts and his job. As a free individual he has the right to go and get the most money for his time. You need to open your eyes and see the difference between a coach and player. I am not going to go further into this argument now, I HAVE A NIGHT TO CELEBRATE A WIN. I assume you will sit here and try to take away from it. have at it.

I'll tell you what, I will explain it to you. Drive to Blount County on any given Saturday during Sept/Oct and watch the Midget/PeeWee Footbal Program for 9-12 year olds and that will answer your question!!!! You are big time wrong. I lived in Nashville for years and I can tell you the field is definitely tilted in the "Privates" direction IMHO. You are way wrong about the dirty little "R" word. Just today I talked to an ex-football coach in Middle Tenn and he thinks this litte Coach T arguement is crazy. I am 41 years old and and I either played with or against over half the father's of the kids that play for Alcoa today, meaning they are Blount County Lifers! Get a grip.........! F5HallOfFamer
like i said early, why do you think rankin came there? can you say better money? better recruitment? come on you guys know, you and everbody else ARE NOT STUPID,DUMB OR BLIND!! I hope to God you are not a DCA fan talking like this! Do you realize that we were winning without Rankin! Actually we were scoring more points without Rankin. The only thing Rankin Brought to our program was more class. You are ignorant if you think Alcoa recruits! Anyone that knows the history of Alcoa knows they've never had to recruit! You are about Stupid dude!

cavlarry
Where is that Idiot Wardon55? You know the loser from Mt Juliet who thinks someone from Alcoa would not be there cheering for the tornadoes tonight. If you notice most negitave post are from people whose high school teams are no longer playing football.
worden55
Alcoa, you made a believer out of me, you are a super team. I eat all my words, garble, garble, garble. All I can say is, Goodpasture has their hands full For my crack on Maryville, I eat my words garble, garble, garble, but I still don't buy into the national ranking though! For my crack on Fulton, I really eat my words, they horse whipped Pearl Cohn, garble, garble, garble. I would like to congratulate the DCA team on an outstanding season, and the good run in the playoffs. Sometimes the other team is just better, no shame in that. I would like to congratulate my nephew #21 on an outdstanding year 1600 yards plus rushing and over 20 touchdowns and he is one of the best open field tacklers in the state. Alcoa, good luck next week, your that good! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
