justhoopin, you are picking all the road teams. I wonder if that happens very often.

Not to often if ever! The picks I chose are for the more talented teams within the conference. I strongly feel that Northeast can win even though Junior Point Guard, Ms. Williams is out due to her knee problem.

Do they have any idea when she will be able to return?

Ms. Williams is going to try and practice this week and see where she stands in terms of playing with a knee brace / knee sleeve. The tendons behind her knee is the real problem hopefully all is well.

As for my prediction, I truly thought Kenwood would win since they looked so good with their effort against Northeast. Oh well, we're all entitled to a mistake every now and then.

Six district games left in this season. All teams are trying to better their position for the tournament. Tuesday has some interesting matchups. The top four teams are playing the bottom four teams. The matchups are :

Northeast @ Rossview...... Rossview has been competitive in many of their losses, but only have victories over Springfield and Northwest. Rossview has their three point shooter (Reeves) back, after missing over a month with an injury. The biggest question is whether Williams will play for Northeast. They have been winning without her. Can NE keep their perfect district record intact?

Clarksville @ Dickson......This was a close game in the earlier matchup in Clarksville. Dickson held on to win by 5, but Clarksville led for much of the game. The Cats are getting balanced scoring with four players averaging near double figures in district games. DC has been a guard oriented team for much of the season, but the inside game has come alive in recent games. Can CHS pull off a big win to propel them into the upper half of the standings with a Kenwood loss?

Springfield @ Henry County......This will be quite a bus ride for the Jackets. Are Springfield and Paris in the same time zone? Henry has been hit by the injury bug. Can Springfield get enough offense to put them in the W column against a team in the upper division? Can Henry pull together with the healthy players they have available and swat the Yellow Jacket swarm?

Northwest @ Kenwood........This is a city war for bragging rights on opposite sides of Fort Campbell Blvd. Kenwood is improved and Coach Bland has them playing hard longer. Kenwood is in the fourth spot right now and NW has struggled for any victory, yet they went to overtime in their first meeting. Can Coach Wallace pull his troops into formation and get a road W, if you call going across the street a road trip?

    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
    • Maybe OR will be, but Farragut, nah, I don’t think anybody realizes how much of a bad situation that program is in currently. I’m sure they will build out of it, but the next 3 to 4 years are going to be a long climb up.
    • Thats one of the problems of having an 8-team region. A team could make it in any other region, but the numbers work against them in this one.
    • 1A: Brayden Baker - Eagleville Rylan Collins - Lookout Valley Luke Treece - Coalfield   2A: Carter Daniel - Loretto Gray Eubanks - Huntingdon Trevan Myers - Pigeon Forge   3A: Gabe Eddington - Montgomery Central Carson Parrott - Livingston Academy Jaxon Walker - Loudon   4A: Eli Evans - Farragut Andrew Hill - Central  Brady Scott - Sevier County   Division II-A: Wesley Alig - CAK Cooper Jones - Boyd Buchanan Gunner Skelton - Columbia Academy   Division II-AA Brock Beddingfield - CPA Dominic Monaco - Brentwood Academy Tomas Valincius - Baylor
