Sounds like the Middle Region will again be sending some great teams to the state tourney. Those of us from the West who are true basketball fans always enjoy watching how well coached and disciplined your teams usually are. I would love to hear some of the fans and sports writers from your region sound off on the unethical shenanigans that just occurred over in the West in the recent seedings for the West Region tournament. Look under the thread entitled DII-AA West Basketball Seedings and sound off on how these player violations would have been handled in Middle TN. Very interesting!!!

Sounds like things are getting messy in the West with the seeding controversy. The five teams in the Middle region to qualify are Ryan, Ensworth, Baylor, BA, and McCallie. The semi-finals will be McCallie vs Baylor and BA vs Ryan.

I can't believe that McCallie managed to beat Ensworth--big upset. The Baylor-McCallie game will be very emotional and huge rivalry game. Same goes for the BA-Ryan game--they were 1-1 against eachother this season with Ryan winning on a buzzer beater the 2nd time they played.

Should be very exciting.

Very interesting about the BA vs Ryan game. The Baylor and McCallie games were almost identical to how you described those games. Baylor won the first outing with McCallie by I think 8. At McCallie in the 2nd game...they beat Baylor also at the buzzer. The semifinals should be very intense games with hugh rivalries on the line.

McCallie is playing their best basketball around this time. They have a good team, but they have struggled some this season and their record shows it. the only thing that matters is how they play when it COUNTS and after beating Ensworth they have alot of confidence going into Firday's game against Baylor!! GO BLUE!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
