rbhale
Can anyone tell me what Kingston Sports'>Kingston means when referring to Roane County High School? I've seen this in several forums and would like to know what this means and its origins.
bone15
Can anyone tell me what Kingston Sports'>Kingston means when referring to Roane County High School? I've seen this in several forums and would like to know what this means and its origins. Roane County High School is the name of the School, band, math team, chess team, chorus, but Kingston is the Athletics department, same school, different official names. There is no clear reasoning other than Roane County High is Kingston's Highschool, not Harriman's, Rockwood's, Oliver Springs...etc.

I'm a 1973 alum of RCHS and back then "Kingston High School" was never used anywhere.
