Wouldn't it be 5 out of 180. Or ever how many high school teams there are to start the season in the mid state. I would agree that Gallatin was a major disappointment. But one of the others in the pre season not in the final is still alive - Wilson Central. Three just lost in the region semi's - Franklin, Centennial and Station Camp. And Ensworth's best player was injured late in football and never played a minute of basketball. So while I agree polls don't mean much this one wasn't that far off.

I guess no one has seen White county play defense lately and as there offense goes fare as a team don't no for sure but i would say the best 3 point shooting team in the state, what player you ask ALL OF THEM can light it up polls don't mean much teams have good games and a few bad ones it's the team that doesn't get that cornbread hung in there throat that wins state. Look at Maryville last year no way 10 people in the state thought they would win it last year and no they were not the best team in the state but come tournament time they didn't get tore up stayed cool got em a gold ball brains can win this game as much as talent can lets bring it back to middle tn. where it belongs guys

    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
    • I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
