How well does DC stack up this year?

 

I know some of the players such as Derek Simms, Shea Thomas, B.A. Davis and new transfer student Morgan Bowser, but I don't know the positions B.A. was an awesome catcher and pitcher when he played Babe Ruth Baseball does he still catch and pitch... As you can probably tell I didn't see much baseball last year due to my own baseball and Babe Ruth baseball in Newbern... Just looking for a little info!

B.A. still catches & pitches. Dereck looks physically stronger (as in weight room stronger) than he did last year (and he had a great year last year ..... ALL State). Shea well ............... Shea is Shea he's a player ! Excellent hitter last year at least.I haven't seen Morgan play since coming to D.C. but he's been (like many) playing "forever" & (according to Coach P.O.)in the "Gazette" a good fit & likely play some different places. According to Coach Ozment they'll go as far as their pitching takes 'em , i beleive he said. They had USJ down the other day & got in trouble late. Mike Gray started that one & was throwing a whale of a game for a while. Releived by J.P. They eventually went dropped that game but won the next against I beleive Union City. You oughtta see 'em play whenever you can beavo. They only lost 3 starters from last years "Spring Fling" team that lost in 10 to Goodpasture (who eventually won the "Gold Ball") ! Got a "Lefty" on the hill in Kyle King throws well, hits well & got some "jets" on the basepath. "Gee ! beav" I'm leavin' people out cause I'm runnin' on memory up here in Ohio, but they should be strong again this year & run for the district & the "Borro" ! They lost Kyle Hinson, Chase Pilkenton & Drew Thurmon (ALL very good ball players) but they got talent enough to fill those shoes ! Lotsa them played the "Travel Ball" thing since they were old enough to carry a bat bag ! Life is GOOD in the "CHOCTAW NATION" ! Should be a fun Spring ! If you ain't spendin' time across the street at the City Parks this year you oughtta go see 'em when you can !

Yep Morgan is a good "fit" with the Choctaw Baseball team ! should help out filling in for Senior loss last year on the infield ! K K is a good fit being the "Lefty" in the pitching rotation ! Derrick & B.A. have a combined ERA on or under 1.5 as well. Mike Gray had a good un goin against USJ other day. J.P., Gammons, (more I'm leavin' out to be sure since I haven't been able to see 'em this year yet , I can always remember & edit the post though stay tuned LOL) ................ Pitchin shouldn't run short this year ! Just gotta "PLAY THE GAME" !

I think that Kyle King has been put in alternative school for the rest of his senior year.. that's a big loss for their staff with him being one of the only lefties

Yeah... Michael Gray has a wicked curve! Does Craig Hicks still play for DC? Oh I'll pay attention to this thread often!

I beleive he EARNED his way to the alternative school not PLACED in one!!!

Hadn't heard anything about it ( K K & Alternative School). I've been out of town for a few weeks. I sure hate to hear it. I have since heard that Tyler Lyons has fit in nicely & doing a good job of taking the vacated position in the outfield . "T" is a good kid & hitting the ball well as I hear it. As for the pitching ................ well there are a few "hurlers" @ D.C. but Kyle was a "Lefty" ! I got faith in the T E A M & Coach Ozment ! Champions overcome adverstiy !

What happened there did Ozment do a trade for Morgan /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> (kidding about the trade)... I know someone that pitched in the City Parks and struck out every batter he faced (only a closer though)... Garrett Lomax that boy can hit it anywhere and beat out a throw Tremendous Speed!!!

Didn't the "new transfer" M. Bowser transfer 2 years ago and quit the DC team before the season started last year? Not hearing much about the Bevis kid? he still playing?
