For such a young squad Wilson Central has a good start to a great future program. Coach Hoffman has really done a lot for the team. The varsity only has 1 senior on it--Chase Matheson. He was All-Region his Freshman year as a Goal Keeper, sophomore year he was unable to play due to TSSAA rules regarding transfer students, and last year made All-District as a field player.

The Juniors on the team seldom got any playing time last year because Central had such an old team. Jarod Prawl (sp?) is back on the team after some reluctancy. Some major Freshmen include Joey Patterson, Ryan Clariday (sp?), and the big man in the back, Jackson Reddick.

I only remember Antioch from Freshman year when Friendship Christian played them and tied 0-0. Friendship had almost 40 saves that game and over 20 Goal Kicks. Antioch will be a challenge for Central.

The real contest will be between the coaches. Which one will complain at the refs. more??

 

Seriously, I think it should be a good contest. Wilson has a great keeper and Antioch a great sweeper. I think a 1-0,1-1 or 0-0 score is likely.

 

 

 

I think I complained more /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> though not enough to get a card or even a warning...I was off my game that day I guess. As for the sweeper he was a victim of the red card barage this season..got a guy in the box from the side or behind depending on who you ask and got shown the red..also in that game two guys got the red for language. Yep we lost 3 starters for two games during the same game...so warning to all be careful what you say this year because if you get heard you might be watching awhile.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
