Just like a lot of places he probably made the wrong person mad. Politics!!!

Seems like rumors follow this guy. I know he's had big problems at Covington and Gibson County. Thought maybe he would get his act together for us. Dont know about his coaching but like I said he seems to work hard.

Coach Messer does make his players work VERY hard. During the season and in the off-season with players lifting weights etc... He just got caught up in a bad ordeal at Gibson Co. and then something about not having the right certification or something... He seems to be a good coach but just get's caught up in the drama.

So is he already out or just not rehired at Ripley? Hopefully he finds another job, but seems his reputation keeps following him and there are only so many schools around. Ripley has alot of talent hopefully they rebound.

It's o.k. to berate players, but be consistant and berate all of them the same. Don't play favorites with a few choosen ones that come over to the house for burgers and video games, and then be rough on the other kids that were not invited. That guy in the past that hooped and hollered had a lot of show, that's for sure. But, he was not bashfull about who he hollered at.

 

Messer is a young fellow and he will rebound out of this little rift. Unfortunatley, the kids on that baseball team have to deal with conflicting issues right at post season time. It is going to be rough to go very far with a divided team.

Well, word is coach is out at Ripley and can't even attend the games and is the same thing that happened at Gibson County from what I understand. Hopefully the kids get through this and still go deep in playoffs.

I hope the Ripley Tigers are able to pull together and make a run in the tournament. Things have gotten so bad, some kids wanted the coach to stay and others are glad he's leaving. If ever there was a team divided, Ripley is that team. They have a lot of talent on that team, and I wish them all the luck in the world. GO TIGERS!!
