I have not heard but I am pretty sure if they played I would imagine that Chester County would have won.

I don't know why you would imagine Chester co won since Camden beat Chester co 3 times this year (including for the district championship) and Waverly took out Camden in the first round of region play. I wouldn't be "pretty sure" of that if I were you.

I also haven't heard, but I am in Waverly today so I'll try my best to find something out and post.

Come on you were there. Camdens play was not at the level you or anyone else expected in that game. Were as Waverly played better than they have all year. Chester beat Creekwood. I just think the Camden game is not a good comparison cause Camden was not at their normal strong level in that competition.

Waverly has beaten Camden 3 out of 4 times this year. Camden beat Chester co 3 times and also Creekwood. Didn't seem like such a fluke to me that Waverly beat the Lady Lions. Although Camden could have definitely played better, Waverly has had our number this year. Waverly has good pitching and hitting also...they came to play against us and if they come to play like that against Chester co they will win. Good luck to our district-mate Chester Co, hopefully they can pull out the win since they seem to be getting their act together at the right time.

BTW...Waverly and Chester did not get to play Wednesday because of the weather...it is rescheduled for today, but that is looking pretty unlikely.

this is shuey and i'm from waverly but i'm in loretto. If they lose they have to play loretto which is where i am now losing so now i'm rooting for them to lose because i would like to see some of my friends. but unfortunatly they more than likely will destroy chester co. but i'm hoping they won't win.

The game was to be made up today at Waverly, it was not.. There was no game again today! I am guessing it was to wet, though I thought it should have been played yesterday. I did see Waverly out on the field today. They were in the outfield, I would guess they were practiceing. I think it will be played tomorrow. Weather is looking good for the rest of the week and weekend!

Softballjunk, I don't know why you think they are going to lose?!?!...

    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
