This great. When I watch games on ESPNU it teams on the west coast or texas or florida, never TN or AL and its awesome the south is getting attention in the high school level. Ive heard of Prattville because they defeated Hoover for the state title if Im correct. I think this game will be good and Ill pull for home state team.

In 2007, Prattville beat Spain Park 14-0 for the 6-A State Championship. Final Record was 15-0.

In 2006, Prattville beat Hoover 35-21 for the 6-A State Championship. Final Record was 15-0.

After going 30-0 over the last two seasons, I don't think Prattville will be nearly as good this year but that doesn't mean they will be a cupcake either.

Hoover is not as good as they were a few years ago. They will win some games but I don't see them winning state for a while. I would like to see Maryville take on someone like Opelika,Daphne, or Foley.

Hoover's only losses were to Coleraine(OH), a nationally recognized program, and Vestavia.

They're not doing too bad

Here is Prattville's Schedule for this year. It going to be a tough one.

2008 Schedule

Aug. 30 at Saint Xavier (Cincinnati, Ohio)

Sep. 5 Montgomery Lee

Sep. 12 Benjamin Russell

Sep. 19 Wetumpka

Sep. 26 Brentwood Academy (TN) on ESPNU

Oct. 2 at Jeff Davis

Oct. 10 at Stanhope Elmore

Oct. 16 at Sidney Lanier

Oct. 31 Tuscaloosa

That's one heck of a schedule. Starting off with the 2007 ESPN National Champs in St. X, that will be just plain murderous.

Now if we can just get Maryville, TN to play Hoover, AL that would really be awesome.

It would put butts in the seats that's for sure. However, I'd rather see the Rebs play South Panola or Miami Northwestern. Those two games would make me wet myself with exictement.
