READ THE TSSAA WEBSITE ON PRIVATE SCHOOLS AND PUBLIC AS FAR AS THAT IS CONCERNED I DONE MY HOMEWORK AND I KNOW HE WILL NOT SIT A YEAR....... IF THE TRANSFER IS THERE WHO KNOWS UNTIL NEXT WEEK ANYWAY.

 

funny all you are saying is that you know and i am telling what has happened you might can find away around going from private with a finacial hardship and those are VERY hard to get...I know people that have gone from poublic to private but they had to wait a year and i have already given you a name and when so please enlighten me on what you know

Here is the question... if he moved to Murfreesboro (which would make him eligible to play at his Murfreesboro-zoned school immediately), would he be eligible for MTCS -- a private school.

 

Not sure where he lives now (or I should say last season)... I'm assuming he lives in Smyrna.

 

I think I've always been told the distance of the move has to be around 20-30 miles... but that was always a kid moving out of a private school. I think that's why Courtney Coffey was eligible when he moved to a Williamson Co. school and didn't have to sit out at the halfway point of his senior year -- it was 20+ miles from JPII.

BUT I DO KNOW THAT MTCS IS TRING TO TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP JUST LIKE ALL THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE AND SHAD WILL DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES. So you really think that he would have schools like FSU, GA, or Florida making a trek to MTCS to watch him? A school with a new program and a losing one at that? Uh....no, he would get much more exposure playing at the school of back to back state champions. The press for MTSC is practically non-existent in the DNJ....much less the Tennessean. PLUS, if he doesn't have a line to block for him, I would foresee injury after injury. Face it, some guys would like nothing better than to say that they knocked out the MVP of the BCB. Very sad but very true. We ALL know players that have that mindset that are in the past and still looming in the future. BTW, I wish Bryson well, but I would hate to see him turn his back on Smyrna .

 

Oh and don't forget, MTCS is a private school that CHOSE to play with the publics. If they are caught recruiting in any way, the punishment will be severe. I don't think Smyrna would give them a Free Pass just b/c he used to be there.

Personally I hope he has transferred because I really don't want him carrying the ball when we play Smyrna. In fact I would love to give him a personal tour of one of our fine institutions up here in Sumner County like ....GALLATIN HIGH SCHOOL, if his services are on the market.... Hey 2priceless, don't forget that JPII was a losing no name private school until Golden Tate made a name for them. And he had a ton of big name schools coming to watch him play. It is unlikely I admit but it has happened before.

Only problem is that Bryson is NOT as good as he thinks he is. R'dale held him to NEGATIVE yards last year when they played and Smyrna has a WAY superior line compared to MTCS. Also add to the fact he will be the ONLY offense there as their QB transferred to another school for baseball.

 

While Bryson is a good HS RB he is NOT Gaston Miller like some have pumped him up to be. I have seen BOTH of them and he is NO where near GM's level. He is also no where near Golden's level either even when Golden did NOT play up to his reputation against Blackman.

 

Add to this one team that is going to play MTCS is Eagleville and their HC knows him well and what his real ability and tendencies are. I see a ROUGH night for him if he indeed does transfer.
