Lipscomb JV has been pretty good over the years. I'm not sure how they looked at White House Friday night. Lipscomb JV is generally a little older than some squads they play since the Mustangs fill a separate Freshman team and the freshman won't report to the field until this week. Lipscomb JV is comprised of Jr and Soph. non starters. Did the backups for Lipscomb look that bad?

 

 

Not that it really matters at this point, but the varsity four quarters ended 14-13 in favor of WH and the JV play ended 12 -2 in favor of DL (no pats) with the safety coming on the first play. In the varsity match-up, DL's #1 kicker did not kick pats as they are looking at who all is behind Lehning.

 

Hats off to both schools as it was an electric atmosphere for a pre-season scrimmage. Both staffs respect each other as a great hitting contest at this time of year only makes both teams better come the regular season. I expect to see both teams go deep into the playoffs this season.

Yeah, it really doesn't matter..... Scrimmages are great for fans to talk of "winning", but the score is secondary to getting the work in and preperation..

 

I remember a few years back WH looked absolutly horrid in every scrimmage, especially in the Smith County scrimmage, but got better, played Portland their first game (it was the TV game), played really well and had a great year.

 

So the fans like to brag, but a scrimmage score is basically meaningless as normally, both sides are not playing everyone and not opening up the playbook, so to speak.

got to beat that 2A school called ALCOA first we will see just how good Wh is then. I'll be waiting
