The o line was much improved from the spring and I thought Twyman looked good running the ball as well. I was impressed with the defence. Giles Co. has a great running back, SEC quality from what I hear, and our defence did very well against him. Yards gained was almost even, with Giles Co. outgaining LC just a bit, but a lot of that was against LC's second and third defence with their first team.

All I can say is that the team has come a long way. There was some critisism of the offensive line early on, but now you hear what a good job the OL is doing. It is amazing what a good running back(like #31) will do to quiten folks about offensive line. If #31 gets 15 to 20 carries a game, I think a good season is in order for the Falcons.

This team has really improved since the spring, but, we also had about 4 or 5 starters out still playing baseball, so getting them back has really helped.

Wil Golden has waited his turn to be the quarterback, and now it is his, and he has not dissapointed so far. Tate Mustin will really help this team this year on both sides of the ball as well as returning kicks. He will step into one of the starting linebacker spots perfectly, after losing one of our starting linebackers for the year in the spring to injury. Another bright spot is the defense, which has really stepped it up another notch since the spring. Although the offense can only get better as the season goes they still have room for improvement, as does every other aspect of the team. But all and all the Falcons look much, much better than they did in the spring, but there is still a ways to go to get where we want to be. Starting with a good Tullahoma team Friday night, then, we have to go to Blackman the next week, to play a team that beat us soundly last year, so we must get better each week.

It's almost here and I can't wait!!!!

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
