CCS is goin to dominate singla a baseball next year....tyler fordice is goin to hit .672, steal 47 bases, not to mention his 18 bombs. he'll be picked within the top 7 rounds of the 2003 draft. fordice best player in single A bar none....CCS best team no doubt.

i agree i played against fordice this year in the state tournament and he will one day be a great player and if he keeps working hard will be but i dont know if he will be the best but who know's...he has the talent it is just if he can work on everything else that makes you a sounder player.

and dallas cole was suppose to be a great ballplayer and i didnt see anything from him so to say he will be drafted maybe in the nfl but not mlb.sorry

fordice keep up the good work and ur dreams will come true

Ahhh, thanks for the kind words 2002runnerup. And just so you know, Boydbaseball19 was being just a LITTLE bit sarcastic...

Maybe someday I will play in the NFL...

What position do you play for Columbia? Y'all have a good team and I know we'd like a rematch of last year's loser's bracket final.

Thanks for the compliments man, I've been working really hard to improve my game lately. I agree that you guys have a good team and should make it back to state. I think that we should too if we can get hot again. I'm sure USJ will be there since they're always the team to beat. I think the three teams I mentioned will be there IF they all play up to their potential, but that's a big if. Plus there are a lot of other great teams out there that will have a say in it as well. Dallas is a great player, I guess he didn't have one of his better games when we played you. We'll be working hard though and hope to see you in state again, hopefully we can settle some unfinished business.

hey man u are a real good single a player i just get ticked when people get on here and blow kids out of perspective and i think yall will contend again next year and i hope to play yall again because we are a good matchup and another one of your players that stood out to me was a lefty that had longer hair he some how got a hit just about everytime he stepped up...but you all keep up the good work and we will see you again in the spring.

It's cool dude, everyone's entitle to their own opinions, plus I agree, I really didn't do much against y'all so from what you saw of me, I wouldn't expect you to say I'm that good. I'm not getting on ya for that. That lefty you were talking about is Caleb Barnett, the first baseman. He stepped up huge for us in the second half of the season, as did Tyler, they carried us offensively from the middle of the season on. Definitely played better than me. We only lost one player from last year's team, so I'm sure if we play you guys again it will be another great game. I know the guy that said that about me getting drafted...he was just havin' some fun, so don't worry about it.

CCS will definitely be the team to beat in their district and region...they will have no trouble with Valley, Whitwell, Grace, OR Boyd. Fordice will hit right around .500 again, and MAYBE he'll be able to hit a homerun if he hits it 390 feet in any field besides Lee's. He'll also be 12-0 with an ERA under 2, and Wharton will be right around there as well. Nathan Long will fill in the gap in the pitching rotation left by last year's lone senior, Justin Magnuson, and he'll be right up there with Fordice and Wharton as far as pitching goes. Dallas Cole and Caleb Barnett will be very dangerous in the middle of the lineup, each hitting around .400 with 8 or 9 homeruns a piece. Barnett will also handle every bad throw he gets at first base with ease. Josh Paul will be very solid at shortstop and 2nd base. Phillip Brown will be healthy again this year, hitting 4 or 5 homeruns and he'll be a strong outfielder as well as catching sometimes when Grant Fryar needs a break from his catching duties. A very solid team that has an excellent chance to go to the state tournament again. And quit spelling "which" wrong, it's bothering me.

dallas cole is a legit top twenty round pick in the '03 draft he hits bombs like no ones business, son!...look at him he is a MANCHILD....he eats people like you for midnight snacks.....he eats grass and 2x4s that is his only meal everyday along with a glass of antifreeze and he shoots roids in 6x a day, and he never sleeps just works out....so when u say this MAN wont be drafted WATCH OUT he will prove you wrong and then eat your children for lunch because hes that MEAN ....DALlAS COLE DONT PLAY GAMES!" be warned i would not speak bad about him again.

cleveland should be real strong again in 03. after drafting simmons and gaston , they return 6 and as many as 7 starters from a 28 and 10 team. lookout for sr.antonio westfield , who played left field with7 homers in district last yr and somthing around 10 overall with 30 plus rbis. also lefty blake carver is a junior and had a record amount of pickoffs, and won a ton of games last yr. lavonte barber plays center, and has remarkable speed and patience. the rest of the team knows how to put together wins, and cleveland is a program on the up in baseball.

naw not really i think that mt.p can not beat ca. it is in their heads that they cannot over come ca. i mean to be down six in region and come all the way back is just unheard of. and i just think that ca has a little of a mental edge over mt.p b/c mt.p has never been anywhere or been to a big show or just a big time tournament. but yes the best team will win and hopefully the best team will represent or area well.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
