Guest Rebelz03
Kris Yarlett, an upcoming junior is at the helm for maryville's infamous kicking duties. He has played soccer for many years and went to many camps this summer to improve his skills.

colonel
When asking about the best kicker in the greater knoxville area your need to be more specific. Are you talking about punting, placekicking, or a combination specialist. If you are taking about punting, then it is without any doubt Britton Colquitt. Watching the KFL high school game summaries (and area surrounding) in the newspaper last year showned Britton to have the best average just about every week. I am also told that his hang-times are spectacular. Place-kicking, I have heard that Britton is also extremely strong in this area as well, although I don't know exact numbers. Numbers that I do know are on Ian O'conner of Halls. Last year he was 10 for 12 on fieldgoals. Folks those are college numbers and very strong (accuracy, accuracy, accuracy). Combo specialist, I can only guess it is Britton Colquitt for I know he does both punting and placekicking. I'm not sure on O'Conner or anyone else. There may also be one come out of nowhere to surprise us.
colonel
I have not heard anything definite on farragut, but I recently saw farragut kicker (former Rebel) Jason Emert kick. He looked very solid, but I don't know if he is having to compete for the position. Maryville's probable kicker is Chris Yarlett. This kid should be something special, which I believe even though he doesn't have any game experience. From what I understand, while Emert was at Maryville last year, he helped Yarlett to learn about punting and placekicking.
