I'm not sure what scrimmage you were watching. The one I saw BGA scored 2 times on both Cascade and S. Pitt. While Cascade and S. Pitt neither scored on the other. However S. Pitt did manage to score on BGA. Leaving Cascade's offense, which was also shut out by BGA. Cascade did not compete during the session with two's and three's. I think I counted only 25 players for Cascade , while BGA and S.Pitt had 60+.

during warm-ups cascade had 26, south pitt 38, and BGA 44 players.

BGA was definitely the class of the scrimmage. their first line offense & defense pretty well controlled things. Their option plays in particular got big yardage even when the defense was in position. south pitt didnt give the corner, but qb 14 was hard to catch. if BGA had run their first line the whole way, they would have scored a lot more.

south pitt's score came after a long drive against a mostly reserve unit. their gb & 22 can be a handful if they get an opening. they had a couple of linemen (60 & 64 i think) that could open a hole when they got fired up. their defense is solid all the way around, and they got where they were supposed to be. i dont think they will be the only team that has trouble containing the BGA backs.

cascades defense held their own, but their o-line & new qb have a ways to go.

i suspect that all 3 teams will be working today on things they found out yesterday.

B.G.A was the class of the scrimmage. They are a very very good team. I watched the whole scrimmage and they are the real deal. B.G.A's first team scored on 2 out of 4 possesions on South Pittsburg and scored on all 4 possesions against Cascade. South Pittsburg scored onceon a mixture of B.G.A first and second teamers. Cascade never really got close to scoring on neither team. South Pitt starters only beat Cascade's 1-0. South Pitt didnt look very good and neither did Cascade, but its only a scrimmage. B.G.A will win the state again in their division. South Pittsburg will be in the running to go to Murfreesboro along with Boyd, Cloudland, and Gordonsville. One of these four are my pick to represent the east. Cascade will finish 2nd or 3rd in their region and be out in one round.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
