I am a long time Bruceton fan and supporter. This has been one of the longest football seasons that I can ever remember. There is no enthusiasm in the players or fans. I can remember when you had to get to the stadium an hour before the game started just to get a seat. When you only have 20 or so kids sign up for the team, there is obviously a problem. It seems the kids don't have much confidence in their coaches. If the kids don't like and respect the coach-----they are not gonna play for him. I believe they do have some talent in the young kids that are playing, but who is willing to step up and give 100% to ensure that these kids are given every opportunity to live up to their potentials????

 

We have one more game to go, guys, let's to to West Carroll and bring home the win!!!!!!!

I agree there is absolutely no respect given by the coaches so therefore the kids will no respect of want to play. I hope that Bruceton can go to West Carroll and get their first and only win tonight. These kids need it. GO TIGERS!!! Maybe a change will come after this season is done, if not there may not be a team next year.

Bruceton will be back. There are kids on the team that actually play with HEART!!! We all have to remember they have to play as a team.............there is no "I" in team. I am proud of the players that hung in there all 10 games----they did not quit-------therefore, they are winners as well. Go Blue! Keep your heads up!

I agree with tigerforlife. If you can't see that their is something wrong with the program at HRB you need to get some glasses.

 

Everyone that I have heard talking about the program wants to see a change.

 

0-10 (for the first time ever.) Dead last in the region. (First time ever, as far as I can remember)

 

These look to me like the kind of reality checks that make you step back and say, yeah we may need to do something different.

 

I believe everyone just wants to see the program get back to where it was. That will require some change.

I am not from Buceton but I have family that is and still lives there.. I went to Waverly Central. So with that I know some about Bruceton and we have played y'all in some sports over the years.

 

So changes are going to have to happen if you want a turn around. On doubt this is the worst season I can ever remember Bruceton having. When things get "this bad" usually something has to change. There diffinatly has to be a meeting of coaches, players, fans, admins, etc.. I know Bruceton use to be a pretty decent powerhouse in single A. I hope to see things change for the better in the coming years!

I'm new to this whole blogging thing, but I am not new to Tiger Football. If you would like to talk about gutless, Gutless is coaches who let the players run the team.... who let kids get away with personal fouls and back talking refs. That is gutless and pathetic. I have watched hundreds of Bruceton games before this coaching staff took over, and have personally watched other coaches drag players off by there face masks for personal fouls. The kids now have no discipline or respect for the game, and that is a direct reflection of our wonderful coaching staff. If you can't realize this I feel sorry for you.

 

Would you enlighten all of us. Which players were talking back to refs and which ones keep getting personal fouls.

OK guys and gals..... tough seasons can be tough on everyone from players, coaches and the fans..... Please talk about Bruceton Football and leave the personal insults and attacks out of your posts.... This thread is being monitored and is close to being shut down.... Be creative in finding a way to talk about the future without the namecalling.....

Hey Good News, Next Year We Go To District Play. Huntingdon, Mckenzie, Bruceton, West Carroll And Riverside Are In The Same District.

 

And For You Bruceton Fans, The Playoffs We're Very Interesting With Ya'll In It. We Miss Ya, Come On Back.

 

 

Yeah, this new plan just muddies the water from where I am sitting. Looks good if you are a McKenzie or Huntingdon fan but not so good if you are Bruceton or West Carroll. One of the other three has to hope to get a wild card. I just don't like the wild card deal. I like it better when it is all on the records just like it is now. You just look at W and L's and it is all there in black and white. What's next, a poll to decide who plays who (like in college). Maybe i am being a little over dramatic but I hope it works out better than I think it will.

 

Bruceton will be by far the smallest team in the district. Huntingdon, McKenzie, Riverside have always been 2A and West Carroll is one of the largest 1A's but Bruceton usually has less than 250 in high school. Doesn't look good for us.

 

If Bruceton's program was where it was 10 yrs ago it would have been a very competitive district, but not today. We have some serious rebuilding to do and with this move a very inhospitable region in which to do it. If they keep the coaching staff they have or get someone else, it is gonna be tough. I am hoping for some of the younger coaches at Bruceton to get a shot. Keeping our fingers crossed.

 

Good luck to McKenzie at Manassas. Bruceton played them last yr and they were very athletic and fast. I would like to see R7 sweep R8 again, and I think it could happen and it is very likely R7 wins 3 out of 4. Good luck R7 all the way to Murphreesboro.

 

I still think UC or McKenzie plays in 4th round even though Lake Co, did make a good run at the end of the season.

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
