MAMAG
The "Jasper is not the Jasper of old" may be true, but Marion is the Marion of old. I will be there to congratulate them on their victory.
Guest
Marion/Jasper whatever...you guys are fixing to go through some bad years and it will start tomorrow night. Your Junior High program last year and this year tells it all.
tnaquarius
Marion is about to go through some bad years based on the junior high program? this is the kind of comment that comes from someone who probably thinks you can predict a teams performance based on jamborees and scrimmages. if you had any knowledge of the marion program, you would realize that it IS presently going through the bad times you referred to. or, maybe this is just an optimistic comment from one of the many pirate fans who have been oppressed by the warriors for the last couple of decades. Don't worry, the game is a tremendous rivalry that is usually very competitive......South Pittsburgh will get their share of wins, one every three or four years if the recent trend continues, but it won't be this year. Marion will claim the victory tonight.
Guest
This is a typical response from someone who does not know much about football nor football in the Sequatchie Valley. Years ago, Jasper had an excellent Junior High program, thus bringing State Championships, now look at them....Jasper has good athletes but not for now...good luck, I'm not fussing, but just looking realistically...South Pittsburg went through the same thing...Sequatchie Valley football is all the same
