Thanks - We should have the ability to pass the ball short or deep. The guys seem to be on the same page with the passing game. Completion percentage is around 70% but our bread and butter is running it down your throat even we you know it's coming. Appreciate the info!!

IF YOU HAVE SOME FAST AND AGGRESIVE DTS SHOOT BOTH "A" GAPS ESPECIALLY IF THE GUARDS PULL. THAT WILL SCREW UP A WING T OFFENSE

i think lewis is going to turn some heads this year......this group of seniors coming up are all hard workers and are very stubburn lol which isnt a bad thing....they are all also realy close....i know all there parents and they are all wonderful kids...but as for next year i think we will really have to go to work on the offenseive side of the ball.losing all 4 of our starting backs last year really hurts us.but we do have lathon, sherman, and darshay.all got a bit of time in the backfeild last year.as austin also...but behind them we have some great talent as well.i beleve they will have to find a spot for landon graham on the feild. the kid is way to good of a player to have on the pine...with the schedule we have now.we need every bit of talent we have on the feild.i beleve justin sparkman we will fighting for the fullback spot...as long as the kid can keep his head on straight...i beleve he will get the spot...and another killer is our line....they have some HUGE shoes to fill..but i beleve next years line will be Trull At ceneter, spears at tackle, bull at tackle, crews guard, fichtinger Hope Spelt at guard.as for the backfeild i think it'll be vaughn qb,sherman hb ,darshay hb,and justin Fb.......whats everyone else's thoughts.....please voice your thoughts panthers....lets hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From what I have been reading, it sounds like Lewis won't have much speed. The QB for next year.....is he much of a passer? What type of backs are you going to have? Are they big? Cutters? Just curious if the speed isn't there. What will be the breakdown for the lines (both), as far as class...seniors, jrs. etc.

Qb-lathon vaughn(Jr)-good arm can make play with his feet, can run in the 4's

Hb-caleb sherman(Sr)-very strong for his size,great blocker,and has a good cut back,also in the 4's

Hb-darshay sprkman(Jr)-tough runner,good vison,has great hands,and will fight for yardage

Fd-austin jones(Sr)a physical back, works on his speed could be a great back, very powerful

Wr -mikal woolridge(Jr)very tall,awsome hands,and can run,will be a great recever

C-paxson spears(Sr)big kid close 300Lbs..strongest on the team,great form

Rt- cody mitchell(Jr)Another 300,very strong.and can move for his size, 2 yr starter,

Lt-matt mclain(Jr)225lbs very big kid,and very physical, got alot of experience last year

Rg-dyaln crews(Jr)230lbs younger brother of mr football,gives 100%,never quites,great blocker

Lg-desi ammons(Jr)185lbs,very speedy can pull and loves the contact

Te-nathan couch(Sr)225lbs 3 yr starter, the whole package strong, fast, can block, can tackle,he is the real deal

They look good at offense but what about defense, that has been the Panthers strength for the last 3000 years. /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

De-josh trull(Sr)played alot last year, can be very good if he works hard,he needs to working on reading, thats the only flaw in his game, besides that he is a good ball player and he will make plays for the panthers this year

Mlb-Tyler hinson(Sr)this kids loves to hit!,he is strong,a little undersized for a Mlb but the weight room will take care of that,im excepting another great year out of this kid

Mlb-desi ammons(Jr)had a great sophmore year,great form tackler,and is a very coachable player,he should have a great year

Landon Graham(So)-looking for time a Mlb and Fb one of the hardest hitters on the team and very big kid with speed, even in the hunt for playing time at Mlb

Justin Sprakman(So)-looking for time a Mlb and Fb also he is a little bigger than graham but both are great players, justin could also be in the hunt for the starting fullback spot

Jake Stutts(Jr)played alot last year never misses tackles,he should rotate alot wiht jones and sherman

Very good information. I appreciate it. Looks like you have it pretty well nailed down. We were wondering how it will be for LCHS next year. After reading some of the post on here from each game, it sounds like you fellows don't get much respect from the rest. I sure hope nothing but the best for LCHS and its young men next year. A lot of inexperience coming up, and with the new schedule certainly makes things interesting for the players and fans over there. People around my area (which Lewis has beaten regularly) think this is the year for others to get pay back. I know some people over your area and they seem to wonder what next year will bring. With the grit of the kids raised over there I believe they will take care of business. Good luck to all!

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
