Hillsboro at Beech

and as i said they are all fast = that's what makes them good

 

if they come up on a team that has a huge o line they won't stop them

beech is small too - but the burros are faster/more athletic than beech and that's why they won

 

 

Did you attend the Maplewood vs. Beech game? Do you consider Maplewood's offensive line not to be huge?

for those of you who did not go to this game, the game was actually much closer than the score shows. beech had 60 yards passing and 340 yards rushing. while hillsboro had 214 rushing and 210 passing. hillsboro scored on big plays and on a kickoff return, this was the deciding factor of the game. but congrats to both teams for making it that far and good luck to the burros against HC. yall have a great team and im lookin for u to win it all now!

Congrats to both teams from a neutral observer for what was a great game to watch. Beech qb runs the smokestack very well and both their backs were very good, and ran hard. I was impressed with them both. I think a little more pasing mixed in would make them an even better team. Team speed was the difference in this game, as HHS racked up a lot of passing yards after the catch, and what else can you say about Gordon/Crutcher? They are a real treat to watch. Made a lot of guys miss tackles. Both teams laid it all out on the field. The one thing I was blown away by was the lack of attendance/community support, moreso by the Beech crowd. Maybe 300-400 in the stands tops, and even less the previous week against Maplewood. No disrespect intended, but it was not much of a playoff atmosphere(no bands at halftime?). Where I'm from, playoff games are played in front of a packed stadium.
