Aaron White to Clinton??????

I heard that Aaron White from Oak Ridge has transferred along with a football player to Clinton. They already got a QB(Mario), a freshman phenom(Jarvis Washington), and Geoffrey Lee from Oak Ridge. Lee, Mario, and White were all supposedly ineligible. How are all these kids going to Clinton to play ball when they can't pass at Oak Ridge? It seems strange considering the coaching staff at Clinton has pushed hard for a no transfer policy between Clinton and Anderson County the last few years. They won't let students go to AC who want to, but they will let athletes come from Oak Ridge who can't make the grades. No wonder so many parents want there kids at AC and not Clinton.....

It's good to hear that White is still at Oak Ridge. I hope White does stay at OR and help coach Norris establish the type of program that OR deserves. Hopefully he'll turn around his academic troubles. Jarvis was definitely playing football for Clinton this summer, but I guess he changed his mind. As for Geoffrey, he should be the man for Clinton if he gets eligible. Lee, Vibbert, and Morris along with Clinton's quick guards will be awesome for Coach Lockard. They fit perfectly with his style of play. As a junior, Tevaun Morris has to be the best big man prospect this side of Vince Redd. Vibbert and Lee are aggressive, athletic, and they have size. They will dunk on lots of people this year. Beaman and Sharp are as quick as they come. Clinton should be favored to win their district and to compete with Maryville for the region if all of these players get on the floor together......

To find the best big man around that area you will have to go down the road a little more to Oak Ridge. #25 for the TN Breakers, first name is Kevin... but the last name slips my memory. That kid can shoot. Soft-touch on the ball. Noticed him at the AAU state tourney in Memphis earlier in the year. Is he a junior or senior, and is he the real deal? Also, does Clinton have any games in the Nashville area this season?

Chill, why don't you just worry about the redruiting that you and the basketball staff at AC does. Maybe if the Mavs are losing basketball talent to Clinton, then Coach Kerr can possibly come in and help out on the basketball side. he does a great job in football. The Mavs' football recruits are among the best in the state.

Another player who will likely start for Clinton is Freels. He had to play behind Rodd for two years and got limited playing time. I'd say Beamon, Sharp, Vibber, Freels, and Morris will beat most anybody. Then you add Lee subbing for Morris and Freels (or really any of the starters) you have a powerhouse team. Then you have Freeman and a ton of good players off the bench. I think Clinton will be very good.

NashvilleEye, you are referring to Oak Ridge star #50, Kevin Kauchak. He is a senior and he is the real deal, watch for him to make people miserable this year.

He has a nice 10-12 footer, but put a body on him and he doesn't like the physical play. Also slow I think, but a good court reader.

    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
    • Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?
    • Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach
