jaydem57
There is quite a bit of talent in DII-AA this year. This is a rundown of how I believe everything will turn out this year. Everyone please tell me if you agree disagree or any suggestions 1. Ensworth- a couple of injuries have hurt them so far but the combination of Gary Pope, Miles Asafo-Adjei, and Tavarres Jefferson is a great trio of players 2. BA- although losing Stallings, Murphy and Reese, McHaney is a force inside and Weldon Garlington is a very talented sophmore 3. MBA- led by a great group of juniors including Holden Mobley 4. BGA- has one of the most competitive teams in recent history. even with the loss of Ryan Bristol, Daniel Parker is a great leader at the point 5. Baylor- Zane Gibson and Jordan Clark need to help get all of the team involved to be extremely successful 6. Father Ryan- Besides Breandan Connoly inside the team is very limited 7. Knox Webb- Dwight Tarwater will need to lead the team as a junior 8. McCallie- Chad Lee and Garrett Hicks lead a very balanced attack 9. JPII- with the injury to Devin Wilson, Wesley Tate is being forced to do the majority of the work by himself All DII-AA Teams: 1st team: Brendan Connonly Gary Pope Holden Mobley Tavarres Jefferson Daniel Parker 2nd Team: Thad McHaney Miles Asafo-Adjei Zane Gibson Weldon Garlington Dwight Tarwater 3rd Team: Jordan Clark Chad Lee Spencer Wise Garret Hicks Wesley Tate Please post any comment about this article

narutowarrrior
Webb lost to Ensworth on a last second three and lost to BA by one, consider them higher.

adidab12
I know BGA beat MBA earlier this year ven though it was MBA's first game Parker killed them. Has anyone else played inside the region yet?

It just means they probably won't be.
easyctome
How can this whole thread not even mention Briarcrest and Leslie McDonald? He is only one of the five recruits that is giving Roy Williams at UNC the top 2009 class... and the defending Mr Basketball I believe. I heard Parker (BGA) beat Father Ryan all by himself tonight... Yes, the west is weak this year, but Briarcrest is not. Briarcrest is the best halfcourt defensive team in the state (held Bartlett to a scoreless 1st quarter last night). Close lose to White Station after a god awful 1st half, should of actually won the game. Beat a very talented Chicago Homewood Flossmore team. This is a team who return 3 D1 players. Yes, the 2 big names Leslie and Johnny, but Gregg Wooten carries the team, which was evident the Marshall County Hoopfest winning MVP honors. Great defenders, Cole Faulconer (junior) and Demarc Richardson (freshman) round out the starting 5. Two talented freshman Chris Jones and Demarc get tons of playing time. Tim McDowell's son, former NBA center, Patrick also gives the Saint's depth at Center. Blake Daniels is a dead eye shooter, who also has D1 potential. Take on nationally ranked Chicago Simeon, High School of #1 draft pick Derrick Rose, should be a great game.

I think it was talking about part of the region not Braircrest, St George's etc. But those guys would def be on the list if there was one. Parker has played great this year and he definately should be there. The only people that are definately on the 1st team at this point in my opinion is Daniel Parker Holden Mobley Gary Pope and possibly Thad McHaney but the first 3 will probably definately be
