Perry Returns to Portland?

Recommended Posts

Sources say that there is a good chance that Perry will be coaching the Portland Panthers. Not the one you might be thinking of, Trey Perry is making his decision whether or not to coach the Panthers or the Tigers of Macon Co. Trey, A son of a legendary coach Roger Perry, is ready to take on and rebuild a program. What better a place then his hometown of Portland. Though I hear that Macon Co is offering more money. His decision is the facilities at Portland or the money at Macon Co. Only time will tell. The true winners will be the ATHLETES at either place he chooses.

Apparently you don't know what your talking about. He may be entertaining the thought of coming to Macon and thats all good, but I promise Macon isn't offering more money. They have a set amount that they pay the head coach and that is it no matter who it is, how long they been there, or how well they do. So, while he may be thinking about these two jobs the money at Macon will not be the deciding factor, I promise. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Apparently you don??™t know, if a school wants somebody bad enough they will find ways to get them. FIY the quarterback club was going to up the ante it??™s not every day you can get a Perry to come lead your program. But doesn??™t matter I'm sure Trey is leaning towards Portland they have more athletes and they play in a softer district. He can easily win 7 games. With Beech, Hendersonville, Wilson Central, Gallatin, Lebanon, and Station Camp all being down next year, it will be a great year to surprise a lot of teams. Portland: Ridge Top champs in 09'

Easily win 7 games??? You are nuts! No one wins 7 games easy. Bill Walsh wouldn't win 7 games easy at portland next year. Portland has great facilities but the talent is waaaaaaaay down there. I'm sure perry is a good coach but you are nuts.

You Must not know the Perrys then (Coach Roger Perry won over 200 games at Portland) Surely hi son can win 7. Nuts I think not! Portland- Town champs in 09'

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
