fan8989
they will go back to their losing way of football without swenson there to coach them
philmeyer
Tend to think Hickman County football will be down for quite some time with the opening of East Hickman. They had a good little run there for a couple of years though.

They had a good little run there for a couple of years though. What are the numbers going to be like? With enough kids, they just might be able to put something together, might even find a diamond in the rough. Both Hickman and Lewis took a big hit in graduation. Guess when spring practice and scrimmages......give everyone a preview. This new District is crazy. With smaller schools .....injuries are the worse thing. There is such a differance in the number in student populations. Giles is closing in on a 1000 students, Page and Springhill nearing 900. Lewis has the smallest with about 550, followed by Hickman.....under 600. Sure makes you scratch your head on this scheduling. But........guess we'll know next year. Good luck to both years on the rebuilding.
devilsden
What's the big gripe? Aren't you playing the same schools you play in basketball, baseball and softball. You dont hear those coaches gripping about playing them.

You dont hear those coaches gripping about playing them. There is no "big gripe" as you call it. Just pointing out the change for next year is going to be a real challenge for all of the old 6AA. And just for your info. There is a big differance from basketball to baseball etc. to football. Might be why usually they had classes group to school population. They do it in college as well. Thats why they have all those divisions. But back to your "big gripe" statement . No one is gripping, they will play the schedule, but it will be a lot tougher this year for both Hickman and Lewis with the loses to graduation. By the way.....anyone know the number on starting seniors for Hickman next year?

ksgovols
According to the Tennessean's rosters, Hickman County had 23 seniors that will graduate this May and Lewis County had 14.

Pretty big hit for both schools. It doesn't look like (by the postings) that either one have a big class of seniors coming up.
heisman101
What's the big gripe? Aren't you playing the same schools you play in basketball, baseball and softball. You dont hear those coaches gripping about playing them. There Is A HUGE Difference In playing those schools in football than there is in playing them in basketball..trust me..Also thats why you dont see a team like Bethal Collage going to play a team like flordia...smaller teams like to play teams around there population amount..give or take a few.
